Marble Sort Level 1 Guide: The Checkerboard Blockade
Welcome to the very beginning of the game. Marble Sort Level 1 introduces you to the core logic loop you will rely on for hundreds of stages. You are dealing with two dominant marble colors here: bright Light Blue and bold Yellow. The layout looks simple. It is a tight 2x3 grid in the upper area and a four-lane drop zone at the bottom. The obstacle controlling this whole level is not some crazy gimmick. It is a strict checkerboard pattern designed to bait you into a bad first move.
Order is everything. If you just tap matching colors without looking at the layers behind them, you will fail. The game intentionally starves you of the exact color you need to clear the outer lanes. You have to actively dig for it.
The Checkerboard Pattern in Marble Sort Level 1
Look at your screen right now. The Top Tray holds exactly six marble clusters arranged in a perfect alternating checkerboard. The front row gives you a Yellow cluster on the far left, a Light Blue cluster in the dead center, and a Yellow cluster on the far right. The back row flips this completely. It holds a Light Blue cluster on the left, a Yellow cluster in the middle, and a Light Blue cluster on the right.
Now look down at the bottom Boxes. You have four active lanes sitting right below the Conveyor Belt. The front row of these Boxes demands an exact color sequence. From left to right, you need Light Blue, Yellow, Yellow, and Light Blue.
This is where the friction hits. The front row of the bottom Boxes wants two Light Blue deliveries to clear the outer flanks. But the front row of your Top Tray only has one Light Blue cluster available.
If you get greedy and drop that single front-middle Light Blue cluster, it will fall into one of the outer Boxes. But the other outer Light Blue Box remains totally empty. You cannot reach the back-row Light Blue clusters to finish the job because the front-row Yellow clusters are physically blocking them.
You must study the queued Boxes waiting behind the active line. Lane one has a Light Blue Box with a Yellow one waiting behind it. Lane two features back-to-back Yellow Boxes. Lane three also features back-to-back Yellow Boxes. Lane four has a Light Blue Box, followed by a Yellow one, and then another Light Blue one hiding way in the back. The heavy presence of Yellow in the inner lanes dictates your entire opening strategy. Yellow is the priority route. The single Light Blue in the front of the Top Tray is absolute bait. Leave it alone.
Marble Sort Level 1 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Follow these exact steps to pull the board apart safely. The goal is to clear the blocking front pieces so the back row opens up without jamming the lower belt.
First Moves and Clearing the Inner Lanes in Marble Sort Level 1
You need to unlock vertical access to the back row immediately. Do not touch the center column.
- Tap the front-left Yellow marble cluster in the Top Tray. Watch it drop onto the Conveyor Belt and slide perfectly into the middle-left Yellow Box.
- Tap the front-right Yellow marble cluster. It drops down and clears the middle-right Yellow Box.
- Pause and look at the board. You just triggered a massive momentum shift. By clearing the two outer Yellow clusters, you completely exposed the two Light Blue clusters hiding in the back row.
- The Conveyor Belt is completely clean. You avoided the bait. You now have direct access to the exact colors needed to clear the stubborn outer lanes.
Managing the Back Row Reveal in Marble Sort Level 1
The level changes entirely after those first two clears. The front flanks of the Top Tray are gone. You can now fix the mismatch that the game tried to trap you with.
- Tap the newly exposed back-left Light Blue cluster. It will ride the Conveyor Belt and feed the far-left Light Blue Box.
- Tap the newly exposed back-right Light Blue cluster. This feeds the far-right Light Blue Box.
- Both outer Light Blue Boxes will now sink and clear. This causes the bottom board state to shift forward.
- The lanes update. Because you cleared the front layer, the queued Boxes slide up into the active slots. You will see a wave of Yellow Boxes take over the front line.
- Tap the front-middle Light Blue cluster that we ignored at the very start of the level. Let it drop and route into the newly revealed lanes.
- Tap the final back-middle Yellow cluster to clear out the remaining grid.
You maintained complete Conveyor Belt control by working outside-in. You ignored the bait color in the center and forced the board to give you access to the back row on your own terms. Keep this logic in mind. Every board will try to hide what you actually need behind something that looks safe. Always clear the blockers first.
