Marble Sort Level 290 Guide: The Double 16-Panel Lockout
Two massive 16-count Panels completely shut down the center of this board. You load in, and half your screen is bolted behind metal. Marble Sort Level 290 is an absolute grind of edge-control and blind luck. The dominant visible colors at the start are White, Light Blue, Yellow, Red, and Green, but the exact order you need them is severely restricted.
The Top Tray is heavily bottlenecked. You have a narrow left column, a narrow right column, and a bunch of Mystery Boxes decorated with question marks blocking your view. Meanwhile, the lower area demands immediate answers. The starting bottom Boxes ask for White, Light Blue, and Brown. Missing a single sequence here means filling up your limited track space and failing before the center even opens. The entire goal of this level is surviving the outer edges long enough to hit that magical 16-clear requirement.
The Bottleneck Board Pattern in Marble Sort Level 290
This layout forces you to play completely cramped. Because the giant "16" Panels take up the entire middle of the Top Tray, you only have access to a handful of marbles.
On the left side, you can see a cluster of Yellow, Red, White, and Light Blue. On the right side, you have stacked Green and Orange marbles. Wedged above these are columns of grey Mystery Boxes and several numbered gear boxes blocking the top corners. You cannot reach the top edge. You have to work from the bottom corners up.
The bottom Boxes dictate everything. Your front row features two White Boxes, one Light Blue Box, and one Brown Box. This is where the trap snaps shut. White and Light Blue are visible and playable from the bottom left of the Top Tray. Brown is nowhere to be found. It is entirely hidden under the Mystery Boxes on the sides.
If you start panic-tapping the Yellow or Red marbles just because they are free, you will lose. Those colors are absolute bait. The second row of bottom Boxes requires Green, Dark Blue, and Red. If you dump Red onto the Conveyor Belt too early, it sits there taking up space while you desperately try to find Brown marbles to clear the front row. The Conveyor Belt pressure is extreme here. Every single slot matters until those center Panels finally drop.
Marble Sort Level 290 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
You have to be incredibly disciplined with your taps. Do not release anything unless its matching Box is either in the front row or guaranteed to move to the front row within one clear.
Surviving the Opening Grind in Marble Sort Level 290
The first phase is all about stripping the outer edges without clogging your track. You need to clear bottom Boxes blindly using the side columns.
- Tap the White and Light Blue marbles sitting at the bottom left of the Top Tray. Funnel these straight into the front-row White and Light Blue Boxes.
- Leave the Yellow, Red, and Orange marbles exactly where they are. Do not touch them. Your lower Boxes are not ready for them.
- Focus your taps on the bottom-most Mystery Boxes on both the left and right columns. You must reveal the hidden marbles to find the Brown ones required for the front right bottom Box.
- Once the Brown marbles are revealed, send them down immediately. Clearing that Brown front Box is mandatory to unlock the Green and Dark Blue Boxes waiting directly behind it.
- Match the exposed Green marbles on the right side of the Top Tray into the newly opened Green Box.
- Keep alternating between matching visible edge colors and popping the next available Mystery Box. You must maintain a steady rhythm of clearing bottom Boxes to chip away at the 16 count on the center Panels.
Breaking the Center Plates in Marble Sort Level 290
Once you hit 16 clears, the massive metal Panels vanish. The board state completely flips, but the danger actually increases.
- Watch the massive color dump. The center of the Top Tray reveals a dense pile of Light Pink, Dark Blue, Purple, and Red marbles.
- Look at your new front line of bottom Boxes. You should now be facing Light Blue, Green, and Light Pink Boxes.
- Target the center Light Pink cluster. Send those marbles down to clear the waiting Light Pink Boxes in the front row.
- Clear the Green Boxes. You will likely have Green exposed on both the left and right sides of the newly opened middle section.
- Do not spam the center. The newly revealed "2" gear obstacles on the outer top edges mean some colors are still locked behind a sequence.
- Manage the Conveyor Belt carefully. You will see Dark Blue and Purple Boxes sliding into the second row. Hold your Dark Blue and Purple center marbles until those specific bottom Boxes lock into the front position.
Cleaning Up the Final Drop in Marble Sort Level 290
The late game requires clearing out the remaining tight clusters.
- Pull the Purple marbles from the top right center. A Purple bottom Box sits awkwardly in the second row, usually blocked by a lingering Green or Brown Box. Clear the blocker first.
- Drop the remaining Red marbles. The Red Boxes are buried deep in the third row. Keep Red off the Conveyor Belt until the very end.
- Use the remaining visible side marbles to feed the final Light Blue and Brown bottom Boxes.
- Keep your track strictly matched to the active front row. The center dump looks chaotic, but if you isolate one color at a time, the final rows will sort themselves out safely.
