Marble Sort Level 338 Guide: The Chained Center Trap
Marble Sort Level 338 is entirely built around a massive bottleneck. Look at the upper half of the board. A heavy grey chain spans across the top rows, locked tight. The dominant colors you have to juggle early on are Pink, Yellow, Orange, and Brown, but you cannot reach half of them.
Your entire opening strategy depends on cracking that Lock and Key mechanic. The top tray layout is incredibly restrictive. The bottom Boxes demand Pink, Yellow, Light Blue, and Brown right away. However, the exact marbles you need to fill those boxes are buried under a nasty mix of Mystery Boxes and directional Arrow Boxes. If you start blindly tapping marbles just because they are loose on the outer edges, your Conveyor Belt will fill up instantly.
The Chained Center pattern in Marble Sort Level 338
Every move in Marble Sort 338 is a test of your impulse control. The board layout is designed to trick you into playing the wrong outer columns.
Let us break down exactly how this specific top tray is arranged. At the very top, behind the chain, you have Orange, Light Blue, Green, Pink, and Purple marbles. You cannot touch them. Right below the lock sits the single most important piece on the board: a Pink marble holding the golden key.
That key is guarded. It sits in the dead center column, sandwiched between a Yellow Arrow Box pointing right and a Brown Arrow Box pointing left. Below that, you have a row of grey Mystery Boxes flanking the center path. The bottom playable row of the Top Tray gives you access to Orange, Yellow, Red, and Pink.
Now look down at your lower bottom Boxes. The front active row is Pink on the far left, Yellow mid-left, Light Blue mid-right, and Brown on the far right.
Here is the trap. The outer edges of the Top Tray have loose Red and Purple marbles. They look so tempting. Do not touch them. They are pure bait. Look at your bottom Boxes again. The Red and Purple Boxes are buried two to three rows deep behind the front lines. If you drop those Red and Purple marbles onto your Conveyor Belt now, they will sit there, eat up your space, and cause a fatal jam before you ever reach the key.
The only thing that matters is digging straight up that middle column to unlock the top half of the board.
Marble Sort Level 338 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Follow this exact release order to bypass the bait, manage your belt space, and break the chain open.
Reaching the Key in Marble Sort Level 338
Your first taps must be surgically focused on the front bottom Boxes. You need to clear out the Pink and Yellow boxes to create breathing room.
- Tap the exposed Yellow and Pink marbles sitting in the very bottom center of the Top Tray. Send them down to the Conveyor Belt.
- Avoid the Red marble on the bottom left and the Purple marble on the bottom right. Leave them alone.
- Funnel the next available Yellow and Pink marbles from the center columns to clear those two front-left bottom Boxes.
- Clearing the front row reveals an Orange and a Green bottom Box. Do not get distracted. Your goal is still the center column.
- Tap the Orange and Red marbles blocking the direct vertical path to the key. If your Conveyor Belt has two free slots, hold them there.
- Tap the Pink marble with the key. The Lock and Key chain instantly vanishes. The board finally opens up.
Surviving the Arrow Box Chaos in Marble Sort Level 338
Breaking the chain changes everything. The top two rows drop down, but now you have to deal with the Arrow Boxes and the Mystery Boxes waking up. The pressure on your Conveyor Belt is about to spike.
- Now that the top is unlocked, look at the Brown and Light Blue bottom Boxes on the right side. You can finally reach the Light Blue marble that was trapped behind the chain.
- Send the Light Blue marble down to clear that front-right box.
- Watch the Arrow Boxes carefully. As you clear the middle, the Yellow and Brown arrows will activate, forcing marbles into the empty spaces. Do not let an arrow push a color you do not need into a drop spot.
- Tap the grey Mystery Boxes in the middle rows. They will reveal their colors. Only drop them if they match your current active bottom Boxes (which should now be Orange, Brown, and Green).
- Clear the Brown bottom Box on the far right. This brings up a Yellow box in its place.
Clearing the Deep Stack in Marble Sort Level 338
You are in the late game now. The board gets incredibly messy here because the Purple and Orange marbles will start flooding the lower half of the Top Tray.
- Look at your bottom Boxes. The third row contains the Purple and Light Pink boxes.
- You should have a massive cluster of Purple marbles sitting loose on the left side of the Top Tray. Drop exactly three to clear the front-left Purple bottom Box.
- Do not over-tap the Purples. If you flood the Conveyor Belt with five Purple marbles, you will block the Light Pink marbles needed for the next clear.
- Send down the Light Pink marbles to clear the back-right bottom Box.
- Mop up the remaining Dark Green and Light Green marbles at the top right.
- Clear the final deep Orange and Yellow bottom Boxes to finish the level. Keep your taps slow at the very end to avoid a heartbreaking, last-second belt jam.
