Marble Sort Level 240 Guide: The Hidden Box and Lock Trap

This board is a massive bait-and-switch. You look at it and see a few easy moves at the bottom, but the entire upper half is a minefield of grey question marks. Marble Sort Level 240 wants you to panic. It wants you to tap blindly into the unknown. If you do, you will flood your belt with colors you cannot match.

The dominant colors you need to worry about early on are white, dark green, and pink. But the real threat is what you cannot see. There is a massive stash of yellow and purple marbles hiding in those grey blocks. You have to play with surgical precision to reach the top left corner.

The Chained Lock Pattern in Marble Sort Level 240

Let’s read this exact board layout. The Top Tray is heavily obscured by Hidden Boxes.

In the top left, a massive Lock with a heavy chain protects three horizontal slots. You cannot touch that section until you find the key. The Key is sitting on an orange box on the middle-right side of the board.

On the far left and right edges, you have two blue Tunnels. Both are stamped with a "3". That means each side is hiding three layers of boxes that will push forward the moment you clear the front.

At the bottom center of the Top Tray, you have two Surprise Bags—one red, one white. These are sandwiched between a dark green Arrow Box pointing right and a light green Arrow Box pointing left.

Your starting bottom Boxes dictate everything. You are looking at a front row of white, dark green, teal, and pink. Behind them, the queue is stacked with dark blue, lime green, red, and more white.

Here is the biggest trap in the level. If you start spamming the Hidden Boxes above the arrows, you will unleash a flood of yellow and purple marbles. Look at your bottom Boxes. There are no yellow receivers anywhere in the first four rows. If you drop yellow early, your Conveyor Belt gets permanently jammed and your run is dead.

You have to carve a very specific path to the right side of the board. Do not touch the center grid until you absolutely have to.

Navigating the Opening Surprise Bags in Marble Sort Level 240

Your first taps must clear out the immediate garbage blocking the lower center. You have the right receivers for this.

1. Tap the visible pink box on the middle-left side. You have a pink bottom Box waiting on the far right.
2. Hit the white Surprise Bag sitting at the bottom center. You have a white bottom Box on the far left ready to absorb those marbles.
3. Carefully activate the dark green Arrow Box pointing right. This feeds perfectly into your dark green receiver.
4. Leave the light green Arrow Box alone for now. You do not have a lime green receiver in the front row yet. Wait for the dark green Box to clear out of the way first.

Reaching the Key and Managing the Tunnels in Marble Sort Level 240

Once the bottom row shifts, the real puzzle begins. You have to climb up the right side of the board to grab that Lock and Key mechanic.

5. Start peeling back the Hidden Boxes on the right side only. Tap them one at a time. You are hunting for matches that fit the new bottom Boxes (which will now include colors like red, dark blue, and lime green).
6. Do not trigger the blue Tunnels yet. Because they hide 3 boxes each, hitting one could dump a color you cannot clear. Only tap a Tunnel if you have at least four empty slots on your Conveyor Belt.
7. Keep pushing up the right column until you expose the orange box holding the Key. Do not tap it yet.
8. You must wait until an orange bottom Box cycles into the front row. The moment it appears, tap the Key.

Breaking the Lock for the Finish in Marble Sort Level 240

Securing the Key changes the entire momentum of the board. The heavy chain shatters.

9. The Lock in the top left breaks, revealing the three trapped boxes. Look at their colors immediately.
10. If they match the receivers you have, drop them fast. This opens up the entire left side of the Top Tray.
11. Now you can finally start tapping into the central mass of Hidden Boxes. Be ready for the yellow and purple marbles to drop. By this point, your lower queue should have cycled enough to reveal the yellow and purple bottom Boxes.
12. Sweep the remaining Tunnels. Clear the left side first, let the hidden boxes push forward, and match them up to finish the board. Keep your belt clean and do not rush the final grey blocks.
