Marble Sort Level 301 Guide: The Vertical Dividers and Iced Box Trap
This exact board is designed to punish players who grab the outside colors first. You load in, and the bottom Boxes are flashing Light Blue on both the far left and the far right. It looks like an easy double clear. It is not. It is a massive trap.
To beat Marble Sort Level 301, you have to completely ignore the outer edges of the bottom row and focus on the squeezed center of the Top Tray. The dominant colors you need to manage early are Purple, Brown, and White. The entire top area is heavily restricted by two massive dark vertical dividers that split the board into three narrow dropping lanes. Worse, the key to opening the upper half is locked behind two specific Iced Boxes sitting just above the bottom edge. If you fill your Conveyor Belt with Light Blue marbles early, you will run out of space before you can crack the ice.
The Three-Lane Split Pattern in Marble Sort Level 301
Every move on this board is dictated by those two dark vertical pillars right in the middle of the Top Tray. They force the marbles into tight left, center, and right columns, severely limiting what you can drop at any given time.
The bottom row of the Top Tray reads, from left to right: White, Purple, White, Red, and Brown.
Right below them, your starting front bottom Boxes are Light Blue, Brown, Purple, and Light Blue.
Do you see the disconnect? The game gives you two Light Blue bottom Boxes, but the Light Blue marbles in the Top Tray are buried high up on the far left and right edges. You cannot reach them without clearing the bottom edge first. This means Light Blue is pure bait.
Instead, you have to look at the Purple and Brown bottom Boxes sitting in the middle. The Purple and Brown marbles in the Top Tray are completely accessible on the bottom edge. Clearing them first is mandatory.
Once you pull from the bottom edge, you run straight into the next major headache: the Iced Boxes. There is an Iced Box holding Purple marbles in the left lane, and another holding Green marbles in the right lane. You cannot drop them until you drop the surrounding boxes to crack the frost.
Further up the board, you will spot small colored hinges tying different boxes together. These are Connected Boxes. When you finally trigger them later in the level, they drop simultaneously. Because they drop together, they consume huge chunks of your Conveyor Belt all at once. If your belt is already holding leftover Light Blue bait, the Connected Boxes will instantly jam the level, forcing a restart.
Marble Sort Level 301 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Follow this exact pull order. Space management on the Conveyor Belt is everything here.
Beating the Front Row Bait in Marble Sort Level 301
The first phase is all about starving the outer Light Blue Boxes while you hollow out the center and right lanes of the Top Tray.
- Drop the lower Purple and Brown: Start by tapping the accessible Purple box (mid-left) and Brown box (far right) at the very bottom edge of the Top Tray. Feed them directly into the center bottom Boxes.
- Ignore the Light Blue: Leave the Light Blue bottom Boxes completely empty. Do not tap the Light Blue marbles trapped high up on the edges.
- Clear the bottom Whites: With Purple and Brown out of the way, tap the White boxes sitting on the bottom edge. This hollows out the space directly underneath the left vertical divider.
- Pull the Red: Drop the Red box from the mid-right edge.
- Feed the hidden bottom row: As the first Brown and Purple bottom Boxes clear, new ones reveal themselves from the back row. You will immediately need White and more Purple. Since you already dropped the White boxes onto your Conveyor Belt, they will immediately slide into the newly revealed White bottom Box.
Thawing the Midgame Lanes in Marble Sort Level 301
Clearing that bottom edge triggers a massive shift in the board. The lower boxes will swap out, bringing a heavy demand for Green, Pink, and Orange. Now you have to crack the ice.
- Crack the left Iced Box: Because you cleared the White boxes on the bottom left, the frosty Purple Iced Box directly above them will crack and become playable. Drop it immediately to clear belt space.
- Crack the right Iced Box: Dropping the Red and Brown boxes on the right side will crack the Green Iced Box. Drop it. You will absolutely need this Green to fill the new Green bottom Box that just appeared on the far left of the conveyor area.
- Trigger the Connected Boxes carefully: As you move into the third row of the Top Tray, you will hit the boxes tied together with small colored tags. Before you tap them, look at your Conveyor Belt. Make sure you have at least four empty slots. Tap the linked Green and Orange boxes. They will drop together.
- Clear the Light Blue backlog: Now that the massive vertical dividers are fully exposed and the middle is hollowed out, the upper left and right corners are free. Finally, tap the Light Blue boxes to satisfy those two outer bottom Boxes that have been waiting since the start of the level.
The Final Top Tray Clear in Marble Sort Level 301
The board is now open, but the final moves still require strict ordering.
- Drop the Green peak: The very top of the pyramid is a single Green box. Drop it to feed the active Green bottom Box waiting on the conveyor.
- Sweep the Pink and Orange: The remaining side wings hold Pink and Orange. Drop the Pink first, as the bottom Boxes prioritize Pink in the front row right after the Green clears.
- Flush the final Connected Boxes: Drop the last linked pairs at the top of the tray. Keep your belt clean and let the remaining colors sort themselves into the back row of the lower Boxes to finish the level.
