Marble Sort Level 698 Guide: The Twin Crates Trap

You are looking at a massive traffic jam. Marble Sort Level 698 throws a completely clogged board at you, dominated by two giant wooden Crates right in the middle of the Top Tray. You cannot bypass them. You have to break them.

The dominant colors you need to worry about early on are dark grey, purple, dark blue, and red. The board relies heavily on directional locks. You will see a ring of Arrow Boxes wrapped around the Crates, forcing you to clear the center column and the bottom boundary before you can even touch the top corners. If you start tapping colors just because they match, your Conveyor Belt will fill up with useless plain marbles, and you will fail before the first Crate even cracks.

The Twin Crates Layout in Marble Sort Level 698

Every move in this level revolves around the exact grid sitting in front of you.

Look at the Top Tray. Two wooden Crates with big Xs on them take up most of the real estate. Between them sits a tight center column: a dark green marble, a light green plain box, an upward-pointing red Arrow Box, and a light green plain marble.

Above the Crates, there is a row of locked items. You have a light blue Arrow Box pointing right, a dark grey Arrow Box pointing right, another dark green marble, a dark grey Arrow Box pointing left, and a light blue Arrow Box pointing left. You cannot touch these yet.

Below the Crates, another locked row waits. A light pink Arrow Box points down, a dark red Arrow Box points up, a light blue Arrow Box points up, and a brown Arrow Box points down.

The bottom boundary of the Top Tray is your biggest immediate problem. It is a solid wall of heavy 9-dot bundles. From left to right, you have a purple Box, a dark grey Box, two red Boxes, and a light pink Box. Plain marbles in green, dark blue, dark grey, and red sit directly on top of them.

Now look at your starting bottom Boxes. The front active row asks for dark grey in column one, dark blue in column two, dark grey in column three, and purple in column four. Behind them, you can see red and light pink waiting.

The side edges feature three blue Tunnels, all marked with a '2'. They sit on the left, top, and right edges, completely dormant until you create space. The trap here is the plain marbles above the 9-dot Boxes. They look accessible, but your bottom Boxes need massive volume to clear. Dropping singles onto the Conveyor Belt instead of the heavy bundles will ruin your spacing.

You need to trigger a chain reaction. The only way to open a Crate is to clear three nearby boxes. Your sole focus is tearing down the bottom wall of the Top Tray to expose the Crates to nearby clears.

Breaking the Front Wall in Marble Sort Level 698

The opening moves require strict discipline. Leave the plain marbles alone. Focus on the heavy bundles.

1. Check your bottom Boxes. You need dark grey and purple to make progress. Tap the 9-dot purple Box on the far left of the Top Tray. Send it down to feed the active purple bottom Box in column four.
2. Tap the 9-dot dark grey Box right next to where the purple one was. This drops onto the Conveyor Belt and will start feeding the active dark grey bottom Boxes in columns one and three.
3. You now have access to the plain dark blue and dark grey marbles sitting in the row above the cleared bundles. Drop the dark blue marble to feed the dark blue bottom Box in column two.
4. Drop the plain dark grey marble to finish off any remaining slots in the dark grey bottom Boxes.
5. As the dark grey and purple bottom Boxes clear, the next row steps forward. You will now see red and light pink bottom Boxes become active.
6. Immediately tap the two 9-dot red Boxes sitting at the bottom of the Top Tray. This massive influx of red will clear out the red bottom Boxes and trigger a nearby clear for the Crates.

Shattering the Crates in Marble Sort Level 698

This is where the board flips. Breaking the bottom bundles and clearing the red bottom Boxes will trigger the wooden Crates to shatter.

1. When the Crates break open, they reveal hidden 9-dot bundles. You will suddenly uncover heavy red, light green, and light pink Boxes.
2. The side Tunnels will now hit '0' and dispense their hidden marbles directly onto the board.
3. Your bottom Boxes have completely shifted. You are now looking at light pink, dark green, brown, and orange bottom Boxes stepping up to the front.
4. Do not panic at the sudden flood of colors on the Conveyor Belt. Look for the light pink 9-dot Box you revealed on the right side. Tap it. Send it down to clear the active light pink bottom Box.
5. You now have access to the lower ring of Arrow Boxes. Tap the light pink Arrow Box pointing down. Because the bundle below it is gone, it is free to move.
6. The upward-pointing red Arrow Box in the center column is now free. Tap it.

Clearing the Arrow Box Ring in Marble Sort Level 698

The Conveyor Belt pressure is high right now. You have loose green, black, and light blue marbles fighting for space.

1. Address the dark green bottom Boxes. Tap the dark green plain marbles from the newly opened center column and top row.
2. With the center clearing out, the top row of Arrow Boxes unlocks. Tap the dark grey Arrow Box pointing right, followed by the light blue Arrow Box pointing right.
3. Work backwards on the left side. Tap the light blue Arrow Box pointing left, then the dark grey Arrow Box pointing left.
4. Funnel these newly freed colors into the dark grey and dark blue bottom Boxes that just rotated into the active slots.
5. Finish by tapping the remaining brown Arrow Box and routing the leftover light green and orange marbles into the final bottom Boxes to win the level.
