Marble Sort Level 473 Guide: The Hidden Box Wall and Iced Column Trap

This board is a massive bottleneck. You are staring down a staggered, uneven grid heavily padded with grey Hidden Boxes. The dominant colors right out of the gate are Brown, Pink, White, and Purple, but the board deliberately starves you of the matches you actually need.

Your Top Tray is heavily segmented. Four columns drop low and offer immediate marbles. Three columns sit higher, locked behind annoying layers of Iced Boxes. Down below, the target Boxes are arranged in four deep stacks. Your entire success hinges on managing the very front row of these bottom Boxes. If you blindly tap whatever is available in the Top Tray, the Conveyor Belt will jam before you even break the first layer of ice.

The Staggered Grid Pattern in Marble Sort Level 473

To beat this exact layout, you have to understand how the traps are placed. The Top Tray consists of seven distinct vertical columns. It looks like a jagged skyline.

The outer and middle-low columns (Columns 1, 3, 5, and 7) drop down close to the exit. These are your starting points. Column 1 gives you a Brown marble. Column 3 offers a Pink marble. Column 5 holds a White marble. Column 7 drops a Purple marble. Above almost all of these starting marbles is a punishing vertical stack of Hidden Boxes. You have no idea what colors are buried up there.

The inner, elevated columns (Columns 2, 4, and 6) are pure trouble. Column 2 starts with two Light Blue Iced Boxes. Column 4 is a mix of Light Blue and Dark Blue Iced Boxes. Column 6 holds a Yellow Iced Box stacked on top of Green Iced Boxes. These frozen targets are completely unplayable until you drop enough surrounding marbles to activate them.

Now look at your lower Boxes. There are four tall stacks waiting to be filled. The front row currently demands Brown (far left), Pink (middle left), Pink (middle right), and Purple (far right).

Notice what is missing? White.

There is no White Box in the front row. The White marble sitting wide open in Column 5 of the Top Tray is a trap. If you drop it, it will sit dead on the Conveyor Belt and steal your limited space. The entire early game in Marble Sort Level 473 is about ignoring that White bait and forcing the Hidden Boxes to reveal the Brown, Pink, and Purple pieces you actually need.

Marble Sort Level 473 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

You need a tight, disciplined release order here. The Conveyor Belt is unforgiving. Do not flood it with colors that do not have an active Box waiting at the bottom.

Surviving the Opening Drops in Marble Sort Level 473

The start of this level requires you to peel back the grey grid without triggering a jam.

  1. Tap the front-line safe colors. Drop the Brown marble from Column 1, the Pink marble from Column 3, and the Purple marble from Column 7. Send them straight into their matching bottom Boxes.
  2. Leave the White marble alone. Do not touch Column 5 yet. The White Box is buried in the second layer of the bottom stacks. Touching it now guarantees dead weight on your Conveyor Belt.
  3. Wait for the first Hidden Box reveals. Dropping those initial three marbles pulls down the grey blocks above them. Watch closely. The Hidden Boxes will flip and reveal new colors.
  4. Feed the active targets. You need two more of each color to clear the front bottom Boxes. Grab any newly revealed Brown, Pink, or Purple marbles. Prioritize finishing the two Pink Boxes in the center, as this clears a massive chunk of the lower board.
  5. Clear the first row. Once the Brown, Pink, and Purple Boxes vanish, the board identity shifts. The second layer of bottom Boxes activates.

Breaking the Iced Box Trap in Marble Sort Level 473

Clearing the front lines changes everything. The second layer of bottom Boxes reveals a Red, a White, a Dark Blue, and another Brown target. Now the game opens up.

  1. Drop the White bait. With a White Box finally active at the bottom, grab that White marble from Column 5. This opens up the right side of the Top Tray and pulls down more Hidden Boxes.
  2. Target the Iced Boxes. By dropping the columns around them, you activate the frozen blocks in Columns 2, 4, and 6. Once activated, start dropping the Light Blue and Dark Blue marbles from the center. Feed the Dark Blue straight into its newly revealed lower Box.
  3. Manage the mid-game chaos. As the ice breaks, a cluster of Green marbles will spill out. Do not send them down immediately unless the third layer of lower Boxes (which contains a Green target) is fully exposed. Park them on the Conveyor Belt only if you have room to spare.
  4. Dig out the top corners. You will eventually expose the highest marbles on the board: the Orange marble in Column 3, the Yellow Iced Box in Column 6, and the Red Iced Box in Column 5. Send the Red pieces down to clear the waiting Red bottom Boxes.
  5. Sweep the final stragglers. With the bottom Boxes rapidly cycling through Green, Blue, and White targets, flush the remaining Top Tray colors. The final Yellow and Orange pieces will drop smoothly once the bottom grid is completely leveled out. Keep your belt clean, match deliberately, and the board will clear.
