Marble Sort Level 31 Guide: The Double Red Trap and Mystery Box Chain
The main headache in Marble Sort Level 31 is managing your extremely limited space while dealing with a nasty bait-and-switch right at the start. The board floods your vision with bright, accessible colors in the top section, but the lower section strictly limits what you can actually clear. If you blindly tap matching colors without checking the lower section first, you will clog your belt and fail within the first five moves.
You have to play this board front-to-back with total discipline. The midgame is heavily controlled by hidden mechanics, forcing you to keep your conveyor clear so you have room to react.
The Mystery Box chain in Marble Sort Level 31
When you load into this board, you need to read the layout carefully before making a single tap. The Top Tray has a distinct shape. There is an empty vertical gap straight down the middle of the upper rows, splitting the blocks into two sides.
Look at the front line of available marbles at the very bottom of the Top Tray. From left to right, you have access to a Red block, a Light Pink block, another Red block sitting just below the middle gap, a Green block, and a Dark Blue block. Above these, the board gets complicated. On the left side, you have a blue Tunnel marked with a 3, which is trapping colors behind it. The top corners hold isolated colors like Yellow and Light Blue that you won’t need until the very end.
Now look at your lower Boxes. This is where the real puzzle is. The very front row of active Boxes consists of Orange, Red, Orange, and Dark Blue.
Do you see the trap? You have two Red blocks available in the Top Tray, but only one Red Box open at the bottom. This is pure bait. If you tap both Red blocks, the first one will fill the Red Box, but the second one will just sit on your Conveyor Belt, wasting precious space while you try to dig for other colors.
You also have a severe lack of Orange marbles visible. Both the far-left and middle-right columns need Orange to clear their front Boxes, but the Orange marbles are buried in the second and third rows of the Top Tray. To survive Marble Sort Level 31, your entire opening strategy revolves around uncovering those hidden Orange blocks without jamming your belt. Add in the fact that there are four Mystery Boxes waiting in the second and third rows of the lower section, and it becomes clear that you cannot afford any sloppy releases.
Marble Sort Level 31 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Your opening sequence must be flawless. Do not touch anything on the left side of the board yet. The left Red block and the Light Pink block are completely useless right now.
Beating the Double Red Bait in Marble Sort Level 31
- Start by tapping the Red block located in the middle-right position of the Top Tray front line. This will drop down and perfectly clear the Red Box in the second column.
- Crucially, clearing that specific Red block uncovers an Orange block behind it. Leave that Orange block alone for exactly one second.
- Tap the Dark Blue block on the far right of the Top Tray. This drops down to clear the Dark Blue Box in the fourth column.
- Dropping that Dark Blue block exposes a second Orange block on the right side.
- Now you have the perfect setup. You have two exposed Orange blocks in the Top Tray, and you have two active Orange Boxes waiting at the front of the lower section. Tap both Orange blocks to clear them out.
Managing the Hidden Reveals in Marble Sort Level 31
With the front row of Boxes completely cleared out, the board identity changes. You are no longer playing a simple matching game. You are playing a reaction game against the hidden mechanics.
- Look at your newly active row of lower Boxes. The first column now wants Green. The third column now wants Pink. Tap the Green block and the Light Pink block from the front of your Top Tray to clear these two Boxes.
- The second and fourth columns will now activate their Mystery Boxes. Stop tapping. Wait for the question marks to disappear and reveal their true colors.
- Once the Mystery Boxes reveal themselves, carefully check the Top Tray to see if you have those colors exposed. If you do, release them immediately to keep the chain moving.
- If you need a color that is trapped inside the blue Tunnel marked with a 3, you must prioritize dropping the blocks directly in front of it. The Tunnel will only spit out its hidden blocks once the path is clear.
- Keep your Conveyor Belt as empty as possible during this phase. Because there are four total Mystery Boxes layered in the lower section, you will frequently be surprised by what color is demanded next. If you have a cluttered belt, a bad Mystery Box reveal will instantly end your run.
Clearing the Back Rows in Marble Sort Level 31
As you crack through the midgame, the Top Tray will finally open up its back rows. You will gain access to the Light Blue, Yellow, and remaining Pink blocks.
- Do not drop the Yellow block from the top-left corner until the very end. The corresponding Box for it is buried deep at the back of the lower section.
- Focus on the Light Blue blocks next, matching them to the deep Boxes in the third column.
- If you get stuck, remember that clearing any available matching pair is better than waiting, as long as it doesn't strand a mismatched color on the Conveyor Belt. Clear out the remaining revealed Boxes, pull the last colors from the top corners, and the board will empty out completely.
