Marble Sort Level 626 Guide: The 3x3 Block Mismatch and Connected Boxes Trap

You are looking at a board designed to trick you right from the start. Marble Sort Level 626 throws a massive visual trap at you by misaligning the front-line marbles with the front-line bottom Boxes.

Look at the Top Tray. You have a giant striped rainbow column splitting the board straight down the middle. Flanking that central pillar, the outer left and right columns are entirely composed of grey question mark Hidden Boxes. You cannot see what colors they hold. Do not touch them.

The real danger sits at the bottom edge of the Top Tray. You have four massive 3x3 marble blocks ready to drop: Brown, Purple, Light Blue, and Light Green. Now look down at your lower Boxes. The top row needs Yellow, Green, Dark Blue, and Purple.

See the problem? You have Light Blue up top, but you need Dark Blue down below. You have Light Green up top, but you need dark Green below. Releasing those mismatched 3x3 blocks too early will instantly flood your Conveyor Belt and end your run. Purple is your only true safe opening.

The Board Pattern in Marble Sort Level 626

Understanding the exact layout is the only way to beat this level. The board is split into distinct vertical lanes, and the lower Boxes are heavily restricted by ties.

The Top Tray is highly structured. The center is blocked. The left side holds a 3x3 Brown block, with Pink and Red marbles buried behind it. The inside-left holds the 3x3 Purple block, with more Brown and Red behind that. The inside-right holds a 3x3 Light Blue block, hiding standard Light Blue marbles. The far-right holds a 3x3 Light Green block, hiding White and Orange marbles.

The outer edges are purely Hidden Boxes. This means you have zero peripheral vision on this board. You must play the inner four columns first.

Down below, the bottom Boxes dictate a very tight release order. Row 1 requires Yellow, Green, Dark Blue, and Purple. Row 2 requires White, Brown, Dark Blue, and Brown. Rows 3 and 4 introduce the worst obstacle in Marble Sort Level 626. You have multiple Connected Boxes tying up the midgame. You will see a Green box physically tied to an Orange box with a black line. Directly below that, a Purple box is tied to a Yellow box.

Connected Boxes drop together. If you clear one side of the tie but don't have the colors to clear the other, the unfinished Box just sits there, completely blocking the rows beneath it. The front of your board will clear out, but the middle will stall. Your Conveyor Belt will fill up with trapped colors.

Marble Sort Level 626 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

You need to bypass the bait, clear the initial row, and carefully dismantle the tied boxes. Keep your eyes on the Conveyor Belt capacity.

Opening Moves and the Purple Pivot in Marble Sort Level 626

Your first few taps determine if you survive the early game. Do not touch the Light Blue or Light Green 3x3 blocks.

  1. Tap the 3x3 Purple block in the Top Tray. This is your only direct match. It drops a massive cluster of purple marbles onto the Conveyor Belt and instantly fills the Purple Box sitting on the far right of the first row.
  2. Watch the bottom Boxes shift. Clearing that Purple Box opens up the right side of the board and exposes a Brown Box in the second row.
  3. Tap the 3x3 Brown block on the far left of the Top Tray. This drops enough brown marbles to fill the newly exposed Brown Box.
  4. Stop and assess the Conveyor Belt. You now have access to Pink and Red marbles in the left columns, and standard Light Blue marbles in the right-center column.
  5. Do not blind-tap the Hidden Boxes on the outer left and right edges. You do not have the lower Boxes to absorb random colors yet. Leave them entirely alone.

Breaking the Connected Boxes in Marble Sort Level 626

Once the first two rows break apart, the midgame forces you to deal with the black tie lines. This is where most players fail.

  1. Look for the Green and Orange Connected Boxes in the third row. You need to fill both to clear the barrier.
  2. Dig into the right side of the Top Tray behind the Light Green 3x3 block. You need to unearth the Orange marbles hiding behind it.
  3. Route the dark Green marbles from the center-right column into the tied Green Box.
  4. Route the newly revealed Orange marbles into the tied Orange Box. The pair will clear together, opening up the deeper bottom rows.
  5. Move immediately to the next set of Connected Boxes. You have a Purple tied to a Yellow.
  6. You already cleared the heavy 3x3 Purple block, so you must rely on the smaller purple clusters buried deeper in the middle-left columns. Pull them down to satisfy the Purple side of the tie.
  7. Pull the Yellow marbles to finish the tied Yellow Box. The entire middle section of the lower board will drop away.

Clearing the Late Game Chaos in Marble Sort Level 626

Breaking the ties completely changes the lower board. The bottom trays will reset and flood with heavy concentrations of Pink, Red, Brown, and more Purple Boxes.

  1. Shift your focus to the left side of the Top Tray. The deep columns here are packed with Pink and Red marbles. Release the Red marbles first to clear the cluster of Red Boxes that just appeared at the bottom right.
  2. Release the Pink marbles to clear the top-left Pink Boxes.
  3. Now, and only now, you can start tapping the grey Hidden Boxes on the far outer edges. Your Conveyor Belt is mostly empty, and you have a wide variety of lower Boxes available to absorb whatever random colors pop out of the question marks.
  4. Clear the remaining Light Blue and Light Green blocks from the right side to mop up the final Boxes and complete the level. Keep your releases short and controlled to prevent a last-second jam.
