Marble Sort Level 623 Guide: The Blue and Orange Belt Trap

This board is incredibly deceptive. Marble Sort Level 623 looks like a straightforward clearing puzzle, but it is actually a massive trap designed to choke your Conveyor Belt with colors you cannot use yet.

The dominant colors sitting right in your face are Blue, Orange, and Purple. Do not fall for them. The entire layout is structured to bait you into releasing these marbles while their matching bottom Boxes are buried under multiple layers of unrelated colors. One wrong tap on a Blue or Orange cluster early on, and your belt fills up, locking the board completely. To beat this, you have to play with intense discipline and carefully untangle the directional arrow blocks surrounding the dead center of the board.

The directional arrow maze in Marble Sort Level 623

You are looking at a tightly packed 5x5 grid in the Top Tray with three extra blocks protruding from the bottom. The center of this grid features an unmovable gray block. It splits the board in half, forcing you to work down the left and right flanks.

Your initial dropping options at the very bottom are a White block on the left, a Red block in the middle, and a Blue block on the right. Above them sits a chaotic mix of directional arrow blocks restricting vertical and horizontal movement. The left side is heavy with Dark Green, Light Green, and Blue. The right side is stacked with Purple, Orange, and Red.

The bottom Boxes dictate exactly why this board is so dangerous. Here is the exact starting layout of your four lower columns:

  • Column 1: Red on top, Red underneath, Blue, White.
  • Column 2: Red on top, Red underneath, Light Green, Blue.
  • Column 3: Dark Green on top, Light Green underneath, White, Dark Green.
  • Column 4: Light Green on top, Dark Green underneath, Red, Blue.

Notice what is missing? There are absolutely no Purple or Orange Boxes available at the start. They are completely hidden beneath this initial layer. Furthermore, the Blue Boxes are buried three or four layers deep at the very bottom of the stacks.

If you look at the Top Tray, Orange and Blue marbles are everywhere. This is the bait. If you release the protruding Blue block at the bottom right, or carve a path to the Orange blocks too early, those marbles will sit on your Conveyor Belt forever. They will crowd out the Red, Dark Green, and Light Green marbles you actually need to trigger your first critical clears.

Marble Sort Level 623 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

You need to clear the top layers of the bottom Boxes without letting the trapped colors spill onto the belt. Space is your most valuable resource here. Keep the belt clean at all costs.

Surviving the first drops in Marble Sort Level 623

The opening moves require absolute precision. You have to feed the visible Boxes while navigating around the directional arrows.

  1. Drop the bottom-center Red block. This is your only safe opening move. It immediately feeds into the top Red Boxes sitting in the first two columns.
  2. Ignore the bottom-right Blue block. Leave it alone. Do not touch it. The Blue Boxes are at the very bottom of the stacks. Dropping this now will instantly eat up precious belt space.
  3. Target the Dark Green and Light Green blocks. Look at the left side of the Top Tray. You have accessible Dark Green and Light Green marbles sitting above the directional arrows. Drop these to clear the top Boxes in columns three and four.
  4. Clear the second layer of Reds. As you pull Green blocks from the left, you will expose a Red block near the middle-right. Send it down to finish off the secondary Red Boxes in the first two columns.
  5. Work the flanks around the gray block. With the bottom protruding blocks out of the way (except the Blue one, which you are still ignoring), use the directional arrows to carefully drop remaining Greens and Reds down the left and right sides.

Managing the midgame jam in Marble Sort Level 623

Clearing those initial Red and Green Boxes drastically changes the board. This is where the hidden colors finally reveal themselves, and the pressure on your Conveyor Belt reaches its peak.

  1. Watch for the Purple and Orange Boxes. Once the left and middle stacks drop down, Purple and Orange bottom Boxes will finally spawn into the board.
  2. Release the Orange and Purple bait. Now that their Boxes are active, you can finally tap the heavy clusters of Orange and Purple sitting in the upper half of the Top Tray. Send them down immediately to clear them out.
  3. Use the upward directional blocks carefully. You will notice a Purple block with an UP arrow. You have to clear the blocks physically beneath it in the tray before it can safely route its marbles. Time this drop only after the path below it is empty.
  4. Monitor the belt capacity. Even with the right Boxes open, dropping a massive chain of Orange marbles all at once can temporarily fill your belt. Drop one color cluster, let the bottom Box absorb it, and then drop the next.

Unlocking the deep Blue finish in Marble Sort Level 623

The end of the level is all about cleaning up the mess you intentionally avoided at the start.

  1. Drop the bottom-right Blue block. Yes, the one you ignored at the very beginning. The Blue bottom Boxes are finally exposed at the bottom of columns one, two, and four.
  2. Clear the remaining Whites. You will have a few White blocks leftover on the edges of the Top Tray. Their Boxes should now be sitting right in the middle columns. Send them down.
  3. Empty the remaining top corners. With the central gray block now isolated and all directional arrows resolved, grab the last few stray Light Green and Blue marbles from the top corners of the grid to finish the final Boxes. Keep your drops grouped by color to prevent any last-second belt jams.
