Marble Sort Level 255 Guide: The Connected Box and Mystery Trap
This board is a masterclass in bait. You get two completely uneven towers in the Top Tray. The left side is a narrow two-column stack. The right side is a bulky three-column mess. Dark Blue, Green, Cyan, and Red marbles dominate the early game, but the real threat hides in the grey.
The obstacle that controls this entire run is the brutal chain of Connected Boxes on the right, capped off by a massive row of Mystery Boxes at the top. You cannot brute-force this. One wrong tap on the front line will permanently clog your belt.
The Board Pattern in Marble Sort Level 255
You need to read this specific layout carefully before making a move. The Top Tray is split into two distinct sections, and they do not play by the same rules.
Look at the left tower. It is two columns wide. Sitting right at the front edge are a Dark Green box and a Black (Dark Grey) box. Directly above them sits a pair of Cyan and Orange Connected Boxes. Further up, you have individual Purple and Pink boxes, another set of Light Pink and Dark Grey Connected Boxes, and finally Red and Light Blue at the peak.
Now look at the right tower. It is three columns wide and incredibly tangled. The front line consists of a Dark Blue box on the far left and a Purple box on the far right. Above them, the nightmare begins. You have a Light Blue box sitting next to Red and Dark Blue Connected Boxes. Above that sits another set of Dark Blue and Cyan Connected Boxes paired with a Mystery Box. The entire top section of this right tower is drowning in Mystery Boxes, hiding the exact colors you need to close out the level.
Your starting active bottom Boxes are Dark Blue, Light Blue, Dark Green, and Cyan.
Notice the massive trap here. The Black box on the left and the Purple box on the right are sitting right on the front lines. They look ready to play. They are pure bait. Neither of those colors has an active bottom Box waiting for them. If you release them, they will drop onto the Conveyor Belt and rot there, stealing precious space.
Your left side of the Conveyor Belt will get crowded instantly if you trigger the wrong Connected Boxes too early. Every move must serve the four active bottom Boxes.
Marble Sort Level 255 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
You have to carve a very specific path to open the board. Do not touch the bait colors. Follow this release order to break the front lines without choking your belt.
Avoiding the Front-Line Bait in Marble Sort Level 255
The opening moves are all about serving the active bottom Boxes while aggressively ignoring the easy, useless drops.
- Start on the left tower. Tap the Dark Green box on the bottom left. This drops straight into your active Dark Green bottom Box and clears it out of the way.
- Shift to the right tower. Tap the Dark Blue box on the bottom left of that cluster. This fills your active Dark Blue bottom Box and clears it.
- Leave the Black box (left tower) and the Purple box (right tower) completely alone. Do not touch them.
- By clearing that first Dark Blue box on the right, you have just exposed a Light Blue box. Drop it now. This fills the Light Blue bottom Box that was waiting in your active row.
Your front line is now broken. The board state changes immediately, and the Connected Boxes are now your primary problem.
Breaking the Connected Boxes in Marble Sort Level 255
Clearing those initial bottom Boxes brings up new ones. You will likely see Orange, Red, or more Cyan cycle into the active row. Now you have to carefully dismantle the linked pairs.
- Look at the left tower. You exposed the Cyan and Orange Connected Boxes. If your new bottom Boxes demand Cyan or Orange, tap this pair. Because they are tied together, both will drop. Ensure you have enough Conveyor Belt space to hold whichever color is not immediately needed.
- Look at the right tower. You have Red and Dark Blue Connected Boxes exposed. You must wait until either a Red or Dark Blue bottom Box cycles into the active row before popping this pair.
- Prioritize the right side whenever possible. The right tower is much taller and hides the Mystery Boxes. You cannot afford to leave the right side intact while clearing the left.
- When you pop the Dark Blue and Cyan Connected Boxes higher up on the right, you finally expose the first lower Mystery Box.
The jam risk moves entirely to the center of the Conveyor Belt during this phase. Because you are forced to drop two colors at once from the Connected Boxes, you will constantly have two or three "homeless" marbles sitting on the belt waiting for their bottom Box to appear.
Surviving the Mystery Box Reveal in Marble Sort Level 255
The ending of this level is entirely dictated by the top row of the right tower.
- Do not open a Mystery Box unless you have at least three empty slots on your Conveyor Belt.
- Because the color is hidden, dropping a Mystery Box is a gamble. If it reveals a color that matches a stalled marble already on your belt, it will suddenly clear a bottom Box and save your run.
- If it reveals a dead color, it sits on the belt.
- Clear the remaining Red and Light Blue boxes from the very top of the left tower only when you need to cycle out the lower Boxes to make room for your newly revealed mystery colors.
Keep your belt clean, ignore the Black and Purple bait early on, and carefully manage the dual-drops from the Connected Boxes. Break the right tower open to expose those question marks, and the board will finally sort itself out.
