Marble Sort Level 246 Guide: The Double Mystery Box Trap
This board is an absolute meat grinder if you just start tapping colors. Marble Sort Level 246 wants you to panic. It fills your screen with grey question marks and practically begs you to clog your own board.
You are dealing with a heavy reliance on the Yellow, Blue, Red, and Purple marbles right out of the gate. Your Top Tray is heavily fortified. The outer edges are entirely wrapped in grey Mystery Boxes. The center holds your only safe, visible colors. Meanwhile, the bottom Boxes are stacked deep. The whole puzzle revolves around avoiding the temptation to blindly pull from the top before the bottom is ready to receive them. Let one wrong color hit the belt, and you are done.
The heavily guarded layout in Marble Sort Level 246
You have to respect the exact layout of this board to survive it. Look at the bottom Boxes. You have four distinct columns, and the front row dictates everything.
Column one leads with a Yellow Box, backed by Red, Blue, and White. Column two leads with a Blue Box, backed by Purple, Red, and a Mystery Box. Column three is ugly. It leads with a Yellow Box, but immediately traps you with two Mystery Boxes right behind it, finishing with another Yellow. Column four leads with a Blue Box, backed by a Mystery Box, Yellow, and Red.
Notice the pattern? Yellow and Blue are your gatekeepers.
Now look up at the Top Tray. The very bottom edge gives you immediate access to four 9-marble clusters: Purple, White, Blue, and Yellow. Above them is a tightly framed center block holding Orange, Blue, and Red. Surrounding everything else is a massive horseshoe wall of Mystery Boxes.
This is the bait. The game gives you a Purple and White cluster at the very bottom of the Top Tray, but you do not have active Purple or White bottom Boxes to catch them. If you drop that Purple cluster first, it will just sit on the Conveyor Belt eating up critical space. You have to work from the inside out, strictly prioritizing the Yellow and Blue clears.
Marble Sort Level 246 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Follow this exact order. The Conveyor Belt has almost no margin for error on this board. You need to keep it pristine for the midgame transition.
Surviving the opening taps in Marble Sort Level 246
Your first moves dictate whether you win or get jammed in three minutes. Do not touch the Mystery Boxes.
- Tap the bottom-right Yellow cluster. Send it down. It will immediately feed into the front Yellow Box in column one or three.
- Tap the bottom-middle Blue cluster. Send it down to feed the front Blue Box in column two or four.
- Clear the remaining front gatekeepers. Use the visible Blue and Red marbles in the center of the Top Tray to finish clearing those front-row Yellow and Blue bottom Boxes.
- Leave the Purple and White clusters alone. The front row of the Top Tray makes them look ready to play. They are a trap. Until you clear the front Blue Box in column two to reveal the Purple Box behind it, any Purple marbles you drop will just rot on the Conveyor Belt.
- Begin working the center block. Tap the visible Orange and Red marbles only when their corresponding lower Boxes slide forward.
Managing the brutal midgame shift in Marble Sort Level 246
Once you punch through the starting Yellow and Blue bottom Boxes, the board gets highly volatile. This is where most players fail.
The bottom columns will start shifting up, revealing Red, Purple, and the first wave of bottom Mystery Boxes. Up top, clearing the center block reveals new colors, including Pink and Green.
- Clear the column two Purple Box. Now you can finally drop that starting Purple cluster from the Top Tray. Getting it out of the way opens up the left side of the board.
- Carefully test the Top Tray Mystery Boxes. You have to start breaking the grey wall. Tap exactly one top Mystery Box. If it drops a Green or Light Blue marble, stop. Look at your bottom Boxes. If you do not have an active matching Box for it, do not tap another Mystery Box.
- Prioritize the bottom Mystery Boxes. As the lower columns advance, bottom Mystery Boxes will reveal their colors. If one turns into a Pink or Brown Box, immediately look for those matching clusters in the middle of the Top Tray and drop them.
- Watch the Conveyor Belt crush. Midgame is terrifying here. You will likely end up with a mix of Light Blue, Green, and White stranded on the belt while you desperately hunt for Pink or Orange to clear the active bottom Boxes. Always keep at least three empty slots on the belt. If you have two slots left, only drop a color guaranteed to trigger a clear.
Breaking the final wall in Marble Sort Level 246
The late game is all about surviving the colors you orphaned on the belt earlier.
- Unclog the belt. As the deeply buried bottom Boxes in columns three and four finally activate, use them to suck up the random Green, Light Blue, and White marbles that have been choking your Conveyor Belt since step seven.
- Spam the remaining top Mystery Boxes. Once your belt is mostly clear and your bottom Boxes are widely varied, you can finally safely rapid-fire the remaining top Mystery Boxes to finish the board. Match them fast before the belt fills again.
