Marble Sort Level 545 Guide: The Connected Box Trap

This board is a masterclass in bait. You drop in and immediately see a rainbow of colors ready to move, but one wrong tap on the outer wings will instantly end your run. Marble Sort Level 545 relies heavily on tricking you into clogging your Conveyor Belt with linked colors before your bottom Boxes are actually ready to receive them.

The dominant colors you need to worry about right away are Yellow, Cyan, Dark Blue, and Purple. The absolute biggest threat on this board is the massive wall of Connected Boxes locking down both the left and right sides of the Top Tray. You cannot just click whatever is glowing. You have to surgically open the center first.

The Brutal Board Pattern in Marble Sort Level 545

Look closely at how this specific board is arranged. The Top Tray has a very specific jutting cutout at the bottom edge. Sitting completely exposed in this front cutout are four loose, independent boxes: two Yellow Boxes on the left-center, and two Cyan Boxes on the right-center.

Directly behind those four easy targets is a horizontal wall of single boxes: Red, Pink, Dark Blue, Orange, and another Dark Blue.

The real nightmare sits on the wings and in the center. The middle of the Top Tray is dominated by four tall, layered stacks (sporting purple, blue, green, and yellow layers) that completely block the back of the board. Meanwhile, the left and right flanks are entirely made of Connected Boxes. The left side features Green and Red linked together, sitting right above a linked Yellow and Green pair. The right side is even heavier. It has three sets of Connected Boxes: Pink/Purple, sitting on Cyan/Yellow, sitting on another Pink/Purple.

Now look at your bottom Boxes. The front row is demanding Dark Blue, Purple, Yellow, and Cyan.

Here is the trap. Your bottom left Boxes want Dark Blue and Purple. Your Top Tray front line has absolutely zero Dark Blue or Purple available. If you panic and try to pull the Pink/Purple Connected Boxes from the right wing to satisfy that bottom Purple Box, you will drag a Pink box onto the Conveyor Belt with nowhere for it to go. Do this twice, and your belt is jammed. Game over.

The lower Boxes dictate everything here. Behind the front row, you have a second row demanding Dark Blue, Red, Cyan, and Dark Blue. You must clear the right side of the bottom board first to survive the opening.

Marble Sort Level 545 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

You need discipline to beat this layout. The Conveyor Belt only has so much space, and those linked boxes on the flanks will eat it up instantly. Leave the wings completely alone for the first phase of the level.

Opening the Center in Marble Sort Level 545

Your entire first goal is getting those Dark Blue boxes out of the second row of the Top Tray.

  1. Tap the two Yellow Boxes sitting in the front-left cutout of the Top Tray. They will drop to the Conveyor Belt and immediately funnel into the third bottom Box in the front row.
  2. Tap the two Cyan Boxes sitting in the front-right cutout. These will drop and clear the fourth bottom Box.
  3. Watch the bottom row shift. By clearing that Yellow and Cyan Box, you pull forward the next row of bottom Boxes, revealing a fresh Cyan and a Dark Blue.
  4. Look back at the Top Tray. You have now exposed the second row: Red, Pink, Dark Blue, Orange, Dark Blue.
  5. Drop the front-most Dark Blue box you just uncovered. It will perfectly clear the front-left bottom Dark Blue Box.
  6. Drop the Purple Box from the Top Tray (once it becomes safely unblocked) to clear the remaining front-row Purple Box on the bottom.

Managing the Connected Boxes in Marble Sort Level 545

Now the front lines are gone. The middle layered stacks are starting to break down, and you finally have some breathing room. But the left and right wings are still completely locked up by Connected Boxes. This is where the midgame gets highly dangerous.

  1. Check your bottom Boxes. You should now have Red, Cyan, Yellow, and Orange sitting in the active receiver slots.
  2. Only touch a pair of Connected Boxes if the Conveyor Belt is completely empty.
  3. Tap the Cyan/Yellow Connected Boxes on the right wing. Because you waited until the bottom Boxes actually needed Cyan and Yellow, both halves of this link will immediately drop in and clear out, keeping your belt perfectly clean.
  4. Tap the Yellow/Green Connected Boxes on the lower left wing. The Yellow will sort itself immediately. The Green will sit on the Conveyor Belt. This is fine, as long as it is the only stranded color on your belt.
  5. Dig into the layered stacks in the center. Use the exposed Red, Pink, and Orange boxes to feed the newly revealed bottom Boxes. Keep prioritizing the center columns to break down those heavy layered obstacles.

Clearing the Final Layers in Marble Sort Level 545

Late board pressure in this level comes entirely from the remaining links. You still have Pink/Purple links on the right and Green/Red links on the left.

  1. Wait until a Purple bottom Box rotates into the front row before you tap the Pink/Purple Connected Boxes.
  2. Let the Purple drop and clear. The Pink will sit on the belt.
  3. Immediately use the center columns of the Top Tray to find the matches for your stranded Pink and Green boxes.
  4. Once the center is flat, tap the final Green/Red Connected Boxes on the top left.
  5. Sweep up the remaining single colors.

Never drop a linked pair if you already have three unrelated items sitting on the Conveyor Belt. Play front-to-back, strictly untangle the center before touching the wings, and you will clear this board without a single jam.
