Marble Sort Level 409 Guide: The Triple Lock and Key Trap

Marble Sort Level 409 throws a massive roadblock at you right from the start. You are dealing with a heavily segmented board dominated by a massive Lock and Key obstacle holding the center hostage. The dominant colors you need to worry about are Yellow, Purple, Dark Green, and a highly dangerous amount of Pink and Orange bait.

If you do not open the center of this board quickly, you will fail. The top tray has a very specific split design that forces you into a corner, and the bottom Boxes are stacked with hidden threats. This level tests your restraint. One wrong tap on an unprotected color will instantly jam your Conveyor Belt and ruin the run.

The Triple Lock and Key pattern in Marble Sort Level 409

This board is all about front-to-back reveal mechanics. You need to know exactly where everything sits before making a move.

Look at the Top Tray. The entire upper section is blocked by three horizontal yellow keys attached to center locks. This Lock and Key structure splits the board into a left and right wing. Immediately below the locks is a straight horizontal line of marbles marked with down arrows. They are stuck until the center clears.

Because of this lockdown, your only playable marbles are sitting in two small pockets at the very bottom of the Top Tray. The left pocket holds a Dark Green and a Pink marble. The right pocket holds an Orange and a Purple marble. Tucked just behind these front pieces are the crucial Yellow marbles.

Now look at the bottom Boxes. The active front row demands Purple, Light Green, Yellow, and Dark Green. Notice what is missing? There is no active Box for Pink or Orange. Those Pink and Orange marbles at the very bottom of the Top Tray are absolute bait.

The most important bottom Box is the third one: Yellow. Clearing this Yellow Box is the only way to trigger the yellow Lock and Key holding the upper board together.

Behind that front row of bottom Boxes lies the real midgame threat. You have a Mystery Box waiting in the first column, and a wall of more Mystery Boxes lining the very back row. You will not know what colors the board demands until you clear the front lines. The Conveyor Belt will get crowded incredibly fast if you pull marbles out of order.

You have to surgically extract the right colors from the bottom pockets to reach the Yellow marbles. Ignore the top half of the board entirely until the locks are broken.

Opening the center vault in Marble Sort Level 409

Your first moves must be precise. Do not touch Pink. Do not touch Orange.

Tap the Purple marble at the bottom right of the Top Tray. This sends it to the Conveyor Belt and starts filling the far-left Purple Box.
Tap the Dark Green marble at the bottom left of the Top Tray. This drops down and starts filling the far-right Dark Green Box.
Making these two moves clears the front layer of the side pockets, exposing a Yellow marble on the left and a Yellow marble on the right.
Tap both of those Yellow marbles immediately. Drop them onto the Conveyor Belt so they feed straight into the Yellow Box in the third column.
The moment the Yellow Box clears, the Lock and Key mechanic triggers. The three yellow locks in the center of the board will shatter.

This is the turning point of Marble Sort 409. The center wall is gone. The two halves of the board merge, and the upper marbles will shift downward, giving you access to the arrow-marked row.

Surviving the Mystery Box flood in Marble Sort Level 409

Breaking the locks is only the first phase. Now you have to deal with what drops down and what gets revealed at the bottom.

Look at the marbles that just unlocked. You now have access to the remaining Purple and Dark Green marbles. Send them to the Conveyor Belt to finish clearing the first and fourth Boxes in the front row.
As soon as that front Purple Box clears, the first Mystery Box underneath it activates. Watch closely to see what color it demands.
Do not tap the Red or Light Blue marbles from the upper Top Tray yet. If the newly revealed Mystery Box wants Brown or White, and you have filled your Conveyor Belt with Red, you will jam the board and lose.
Process the arrow-marked row from left to right. Only pull a marble if its matching Box is fully visible and sitting in the front row.

Clearing the deep corners in Marble Sort Level 409

The final stretch of the board is chaotic. Once the middle layers of the Top Tray clear out, you will finally reach the solid blocks of Blue, Light Blue, and Red sitting in the upper corners.

Keep at least three slots open on your Conveyor Belt at all times. The back row of the bottom section consists almost entirely of Mystery Boxes.
When a deep Mystery Box reveals its color, pull the matching marbles from the top corners immediately.
If a Mystery Box demands a color that is buried under a single stray marble in the Top Tray, use one slot on the Conveyor Belt to hold that stray marble. Feed the Mystery Box, clear it, and then drop the delayed marble into its newly revealed Box to finish the level.
