Marble Sort Level 86 Guide: The Massive Panel 16 Trap
You load up this stage and the problem is staring you right in the face. A giant metal plate bolted over the entire center of the board.
To beat this stage, you have to survive a brutal opening sequence where your options are completely restricted. You are forced to play the edges and the single exposed bottom row of marbles to slowly chip away at the board. The margin for error is zero. One wrong tap early on, and your bottom slots fill up with dead colors while you wait for the board to open.
This guide will break down exactly how to navigate the opening squeeze, manage the unknown drops, and finally rip that metal plate off the board.
The Restricted Board Pattern in Marble Sort Level 86
This board layout is built to suffocate your early game. You cannot access the center. You have to work entirely around the perimeter.
Look at your Top Tray. Right in the middle is a giant 3x3 Panel with a massive "16" stamped on it. That means you must clear sixteen entire bottom Boxes before those nine center spaces reveal their colors. That is forty-eight perfectly sorted marbles you have to route while missing the biggest chunk of your board.
Flanking that center Panel on both the left and right sides are sheer vertical columns of Mystery Boxes. These blocks are marked with question marks. You have no idea what color they hold until you expose them.
Now look at the very bottom row of your Top Tray. This is your only safe working area. Reading from left to right, you have Black, two Greens, Purple, Red, Blue, and Brown. Sitting directly behind them in the second row, you can see glimpses of White, Light Blue, Yellow, another White, Blue, Pink, and Blue.
Up at the very top edge, three Tunnels sit waiting. They have numbers indicating how many marbles are trapped inside, but they cannot drop until the grid below them clears out.
Your bottom Boxes dictate everything. You start with four active target slots. From left to right, the front Boxes are Purple, Brown, Blue, and Green. Stacked directly under those front targets are Light Blue, White, Brown, and another Blue.
The trap here is obvious. The game gives you exactly the colors you need in the bottom exposed row to start clearing the first layer of targets. But once you clear them, you are immediately forced to deal with the second row and the terrifying Mystery Boxes on the edges. If you tap a question mark block and it drops a Black or Pink marble when you only have Light Blue and White targets open, you just burned a permanent slot on your Conveyor Belt. Do that twice, and the level is over before the middle Panel ever unlocks.
Marble Sort Level 86 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Order is everything. You have to clear the exact right targets to expose the exact right follow-up colors without clogging your belt.
Beating the Opening Board Squeeze in Marble Sort Level 86
Your first moves must be surgically precise. You have matching exposed marbles for your opening targets. Take them immediately. Do not touch the unknown blocks on the edges.
- Grab the single Purple marble from the right-center of the bottom row. Send it to the far-left Purple Box.
- Tap the Brown marble sitting on the far right corner. Feed it into the second column's Brown Box.
- Grab the Blue marble sitting right next to where that Brown one was. Drop it into the third column's Blue Box.
- Tap the two Green marbles sitting on the bottom left. Route them straight into the far-right Green target Box.
- Stop and look at your Conveyor Belt. You should have heavily filled your starting targets, but none of them are fully cleared yet.
- Now carefully tap the exposed White and Light Blue marbles from the newly revealed second row. You need to pull these down to access the remaining matches for your initial targets.
- Finish clearing the first layer of Purple, Brown, Blue, and Green Boxes by pulling the remaining needed colors from the second row.
Surviving the Midgame Mystery Boxes in Marble Sort Level 86
Clearing that first wave of targets drops the next layer down. Your new front Boxes are Light Blue, White, Brown, and Blue. This is where the board gets incredibly tight.
- Prioritize filling the Light Blue and White Boxes. You have these colors visible in the second and third rows of the Top Tray.
- Once you exhaust your visible, safe matches, you are forced to start tapping the Mystery Boxes on the far left and right columns.
- Only tap a Mystery Box when you have at least three absolutely empty, safe spaces on your Conveyor Belt. You must assume the block will drop a useless color.
- If a question mark drops a dead color like Black or Red, leave it on the belt. Do not panic. Look for another safe match on the board to clear a target and cycle the lower Boxes forward.
- If a Mystery Box drops a color that matches a currently open target, immediately funnel it into that target to keep your belt clean.
- Keep grinding the left and right edges. Your sole objective right now is to reach sixteen total cleared targets. Track the number on the central Panel.
Dropping the Panel 16 for the Finish in Marble Sort Level 86
The moment you hit sixteen cleared targets, the massive center plate vanishes. The entire dynamic of the board flips. Suddenly, you have a massive cluster of Orange, Red, Dark Green, and Yellow marbles ready to play.
- Look at your new bottom targets. They will have shifted to colors like Red, Purple, Orange, and Pink.
- Immediately prioritize the huge clump of Orange marbles now sitting right in the middle of the Top Tray. Route them into the newly exposed Orange bottom Box.
- Clear the Dark Green marbles from the center to unlock the space beneath the top Tunnels.
- Once the space below the top edge opens, the Tunnels will automatically drop their stored marbles into the grid. Be ready for a sudden influx of secondary colors.
- Mop up the remaining red and yellow clusters in the center. With the Panel gone, you have total access to the board and can easily match any remaining trapped colors to finish the stage. Keep your belt moving and clear the final few slots.
