The game wants you to panic about the middle column, but the real puzzle is surviving the tight color restrictions on the wings. If you touch the wrong color in the first five seconds, your Conveyor Belt will fill up and you are done.

Your dominant starting colors are Green, Red, Blue, and White, but the bottom Boxes demand something else entirely. The top row of your receiving area asks for Yellow, Purple, Green, and Orange. That mismatch is the entire gimmick of the opening phase. You have to carefully extract the exact colors you need from heavily guarded side clusters without dropping useless marbles onto the belt.
