Marble Sort Level 401 Guide: The Iced Box and Connected Web Trap
Marble Sort Level 401 is an absolute trap. At first glance, the board looks wide open. You have a massive cluster of Light Blue, Purple, Dark Blue, Yellow, Green, Pink, and Brown marbles. But the moment you start tapping, the board locks up.
The real nightmare here is the combination of Connected Boxes and Iced Boxes wrapped around two vertical Tunnels right in the center of the Top Tray. The bottom Boxes demand a very specific clear order. If you grab a color you do not need, the attached Connected Box comes with it. Your Conveyor Belt fills up. You fail. Order is everything on this board.
The Connected Web pattern in Marble Sort Level 401
You need to understand exactly how this board is rigged before you make a single move. The bottom Boxes dictate your opening. The front row asks for Light Blue, Yellow, Purple, and another Light Blue.
Look at the Top Tray. The far-left flank is a beautiful, clean stack of three Light Blue marbles. This is your safe zone. But the rest of the board is a minefield.
The center of the board is split by two dark vertical Tunnels. These hold hidden marbles that will not drop until the front is clear. Surrounding these Tunnels are several Iced Boxes, mostly holding Purple and Pink marbles. These Iced Boxes will not crack and activate until you clear two of their adjacent neighbors.
The absolute biggest threat in Marble Sort Level 401 is the network of Connected Boxes. You can spot them by the tiny colored links between them:
- There is a cyan link tying two Light Blue boxes together near the bottom left.
- There is a blue link tying a Green and a Dark Blue box together on the bottom right.
- Higher up, a green link ties a Green box to a Brown box.
- A red link ties a Pink box to a Brown box.
This is bait. If you tap the Green box tied to the Dark Blue box, both drop to the Conveyor Belt. If you do not have an active bottom Box for both colors, you just wasted two precious slots. The lower Boxes are heavily stacked with Dark Blue and Green right behind the opening row, but they are not ready yet.
Marble Sort Level 401 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
You must control the Conveyor Belt strictly. Do not touch a linked marble unless you have a home for at least one of its colors, preferably both.
Breaking the front line in Marble Sort Level 401
Your immediate goal is to clear the starting Light Blue, Yellow, and Purple bottom Boxes so the board can shift.
- Clear the left flank. Look at the far left edge of the Top Tray. Tap the three free Light Blue marbles. This clears the far-left bottom Box instantly and frees up space.
- Grab the front Yellow. On the far right of the front row, there is a free Yellow marble. Drop it down. There is another Yellow sitting higher up on the left side. Grab that too.
- Snipe the front Purple. You need Purple to clear the third bottom Box. Grab the free Purple marble sitting near the bottom center-left.
- Avoid the Blue Link. Do not touch the Green and Dark Blue Connected Boxes on the right side yet. You do not have a Green bottom Box active. If you pull them now, they will rot on your Conveyor Belt.
- Break the ice. As you clear these free-floating front marbles, you will satisfy the adjacency rule for the Iced Boxes in the lower middle. The cracked Purple and Pink boxes will finally activate. Use the newly freed Purple to finish off that bottom Box.
Surviving the Tunnels and Connected Boxes in Marble Sort Level 401
Clearing that first wave of bottom Boxes completely changes Marble Sort Level 401. The back rows slide forward. Suddenly, you are staring at White, Pink, Green, Brown, and Dark Blue bottom Boxes. Now the real puzzle begins.
- Drop the Blue Link. Now that Green and Dark Blue bottom Boxes are sliding into play, it is safe to tap that blue-linked Green and Dark Blue pair on the right side. Drop them and immediately route them into their new homes.
- Hit the Tunnels. With the front center cleared, the two vertical Tunnels will start dumping their hidden marbles. Pay close attention to what spills out. You will likely see White and more Dark Blue. Prioritize matching these immediately so they do not clog the center.
- Dismantle the Red and Green Links. You now have Brown and Pink bottom Boxes active. Look at the upper middle of the Top Tray. Tap the Pink and Brown pair (red link). Tap the Green and Brown pair (green link). Because your bottom Boxes are finally ready for these colors, they will pass straight through the Conveyor Belt.
- Clear the remaining Iced Boxes. The top section has heavily Iced Boxes holding Yellow and Pink. By dismantling the connected links around them, the ice will shatter. Route the Pink and Yellow into the newly revealed bottom Boxes.
- Manage the White marbles. White marbles will start pooling from the Tunnels and the upper rows. Your middle columns of bottom Boxes have multiple White requirements stacked back-to-back. Feed the White marbles down systematically.
Keep your eyes on the Conveyor Belt as the Tunnels empty. If a color drops that you do not need, leave it in the Top Tray. Force the board to give you the matches you actually need by working from the outside edges inward. Clear the heavy center last, and you will beat this level.
