Marble Sort Level 683 Guide: The Front Chokepoint and Linked Trap
Marble Sort 683 will trick you right out of the gate. This board relies on a massive visual bait. You will see an ocean of yellow waiting at the bottom, but the top tells a completely different story.
To beat this one, you need perfect Conveyor Belt control. One wrong tap on the left side of the board will drag unwanted colors down and instantly end your run. Dominant colors here are pinkish-red, yellow, purple, dark grey, and brown. You are also dealing with a nasty set of Connected Boxes hiding just behind the front line. We need to dissect exactly how this board is stacked before making a single move.
The split-grid pattern in Marble Sort Level 683
This board is structurally weird. The Top Tray is divided into two distinct halves with completely different rules.
Look at the left side of the Top Tray. It is an interlocking mess. The pinkish-red, purple, and dark grey marbles here are not standard squares. They are shaped like jigsaw pieces. Worse, many of these pieces are tied together by tiny pill-shaped links. You will see red-and-white or purple-and-white links locking these marbles together. If you tap one, you are pulling its neighbor. This side is a massive liability.
Now look at the right side of the Top Tray. It is a standard grid. Clean squares. Purple, yellow, dark grey, and brown stacked neatly. The extreme top right holds some multi-colored striped tiles, but they are buried deep.
At the very bottom of the Top Tray, forming a massive chokepoint, sit two heavy 9-marble blocks. You have a pinkish-red block on the left and a brown block on the right. Nothing behind them can drop until you move them.
The bottom Boxes are where the trap springs. You have four columns. The starting front row is almost entirely yellow:
- Column 1: Yellow
- Column 2: Yellow
- Column 3: Brown
- Column 4: Yellow
Right behind that front row sits the real midgame threat. In row two, a black barbell ties the dark grey Box in column 1 to the pinkish-red Box in column 2. These are Connected Boxes. They drop into play at the exact same time. If you do not have the colors ready to feed both, they will permanently eat up space at the front of your line.
Marble Sort Level 683 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
You have to play this board back-to-front. The yellow Boxes are screaming for attention, but you cannot reach the yellow marbles yet. Stay disciplined. Manage your Conveyor Belt space like it is oxygen.
Dodging the yellow bait in Marble Sort Level 683
Your opening moves dictate the entire run. If you panic and click the wrong large block, the board jams permanently.
- Do not touch the giant pinkish-red block at the front of the Top Tray. There is absolutely no pinkish-red Box open at the bottom. Dropping it now will flood your Conveyor Belt and cause an instant game over.
- Tap the large brown block on the right side of the chokepoint.
- This brown block will immediately drop into the brown Box sitting in column 3. It clears instantly.
- Clearing that brown Box opens up the right side of the Top Tray. You now have access to the clean grid of marbles.
- Start tapping the yellow marbles on the right side. Feed the three yellow Boxes sitting in columns 1, 2, and 4. Clear them out completely.
Breaking the Connected Boxes in Marble Sort Level 683
With the front row of yellow out of the way, the board violently shifts. The lower area moves up, and the Connected Boxes activate. You are now staring down a dark grey Box and a pinkish-red Box tied together by that black barbell.
- Now is the time to unleash the giant pinkish-red block you left at the front of the Top Tray. Tap it. It will instantly fill and clear the pinkish-red half of the Connected Boxes.
- Target the dark grey marbles sitting in the middle of the right-side grid. Feed them into the dark grey Box to shatter the black link entirely.
- The board is now split open. You finally have room to deal with the interlocking jigsaw pieces on the left side of the Top Tray.
- Look closely at the pill-shaped links on the left. Before you tap a purple or red piece, trace the link. See what is coming down with it.
- Never tap a linked piece unless you have at least three empty slots on your Conveyor Belt. You must account for the unwanted tag-along colors.
Surviving the back rows in Marble Sort Level 683
The late game gets claustrophobic. Your bottom Boxes will reveal a messy mix of purple, yellow, and more pinkish-red.
- Prioritize clearing the purple Boxes next. The left side of the Top Tray is heavy with purple, and getting those linked pieces off the board reduces your jam risk.
- If a stray color drops because of a jigsaw link, leave it on the Conveyor Belt. Do not panic. Just focus on clearing the front-most Box.
- Once you reach the top right of the tray, use the multi-colored striped marbles to fill in the gaps for any lingering brown or dark grey Boxes in the back row. Keep your sorting fast and finish the board.
