Marble Sort Level 388 Guide: The Central Crate Trap
This board is a masterclass in sequence control. You are dealing with a heavily restricted opening, a massive barricade in the center, and a terrifying bottleneck at the finish line. In Marble Sort Level 388, the primary colors dictating your early game are Yellow, Dark Green, and Purple.
Your biggest threat here is not the complex color matching. It is the giant wooden Crate sitting dead center in the Top Tray. This obstacle cuts the board in half and forces you to play the dangerous outer edges. If you pull the wrong color from the side columns too early, the Conveyor Belt will jam instantly, and your run is over.
The Central Crate pattern in Marble Sort Level 388
You have to understand the exact layout of this board before making a single tap. Look at your four columns of bottom Boxes. The active frontline demands one Dark Green Box on the far left, two Yellow Boxes in the middle columns, and one Purple Box on the far right.
Beneath those active targets, the queues are stacked deep with future problems. The far-left column hides Yellow, Brown, and Purple. The mid-left column hides another Yellow, Purple, and Light Blue. The mid-right column waits with Brown and two Dark Greens. The far-right column holds another Purple, followed by two Yellows.
Now look up at the Top Tray. It is designed to bait you. The lowest hanging marbles are a large Yellow cluster on the bottom left and a Dark Green cluster on the bottom right. Directly above the Yellow sits Light Blue. Directly above the Dark Green sits another Dark Green and another Yellow.
Dead center, dominating the grid, is a massive 2x2 wooden Crate. It will not open until you drop three adjacent marble clusters. Guarding the bottom of this Crate are two Purple Connected Boxes.
The sides of the Top Tray are rigged with traps. The left flank features a Light Blue tied to a Brown, and an outer Light Green tied to a Pink. These are Connected Boxes. They drop together. The right flank is just as nasty, featuring a Pink tied to a Blue, and another Light Green tied to a Pink.
At the very top of the board, a rainbow row of Pink, Purple, Orange, Pink, Dark Green, and Light Green blocks four Tunnels. These Tunnels are numbered 2, 3, 3, and 2. They hide the endgame marbles, and you cannot touch them until the rest of the board is clear.
Marble Sort Level 388 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Every single tap matters here. You must match the exact sequence of the bottom Boxes shifting upward. Do not pull a color unless the corresponding Box is already active or guaranteed to be next.
Clearing the Frontline in Marble Sort Level 388
The opening moves are strictly mapped out. You have to feed the frontline without clogging the Conveyor Belt.
- Tap the large Yellow marble cluster sitting at the bottom left of the Top Tray. These will immediately flow into the two active Yellow Boxes sitting in the middle columns.
- Tap the bottom-right Dark Green marble cluster. These will slide perfectly into the Dark Green Box waiting on the far-left column.
- Watch the lower columns shift up. Your new active targets are now Yellow (far left), Yellow (mid-left), Brown (mid-right), and Purple (far-right).
- Grab the newly exposed Yellow cluster sitting on the lower right side of the Top Tray. This feeds the new Yellow Boxes that just appeared.
Cracking the Crate in Marble Sort Level 388
With the bottom corners cleared, your priority shifts to the center of the board. You need to shatter that wooden obstacle to reach the top rows.
- You currently have an active Purple Box on the far right. Tap the two Purple Connected Boxes sitting directly beneath the wooden Crate. They will drop together, clearing your active Purple Box and feeding the next Purple Box that cycles up.
- Leave the Light Blue and Brown Connected Boxes on the left flank alone. This is pure bait. There is no active Light Blue Box at the bottom yet. If you drop them now, the Light Blue marbles will rot on the Conveyor Belt.
- Focus on clearing the Dark Green cluster on the right side. This satisfies the Dark Green Boxes queuing up in the mid-right column.
- Once you clear enough clusters touching the center, the wooden Crate shatters. The board cracks wide open. You now have access to the hidden Pink and Blue clusters in the middle of the tray.
Emptying the Tunnels in Marble Sort Level 388
The late game is all about managing the incoming flood. The top row is a mess of isolated colors, and the hidden mechanics are about to trigger.
- Carefully trigger the Pink and Blue Connected Boxes on the right side only when the mid-left Light Blue Box finally cycles to the front.
- Clear the outer edges. Drop the Light Green and Pink Connected Boxes on the far left and far right to feed the final queues at the bottom.
- Start pulling the top row of marbles. Pull the Purple, Orange, and Pink clusters to feed the final required Boxes.
- Brace for the drop. As the top row clears, the Tunnels activate. They will dump their hidden marbles based on their numbers (2, 3, 3, 2).
- Keep your Conveyor Belt completely empty before pulling the very last top-row marble. The Tunnels will flood the belt in a matter of seconds. Match the final drops to the remaining bottom Boxes to finish the level.
