Marble Sort Level 398 is a deceptive cross-shaped board that tests your early-game restraint. The puzzle hits you immediately with four active bottom Boxes requiring White, Light Pink, Yellow, and Orange marbles. Meanwhile, the Top Tray dangles a completely different set of colors right in your face.

The dominant colors you have to manage here are Yellow, Light Pink, Light Blue, Red, and Green. However, color matching is not the real test. The true difficulty in Marble Sort Level 398 comes from the two Panels sitting near the top of the board and the golden Lock and Key mechanisms stretching across the middle. If you just start tapping the lowest available marbles, you will clog your Conveyor Belt before you even crack the first panel. You have to thread a very specific needle to open this board up.

When you load into Marble Sort 398, you need to read the lower Boxes perfectly. The active targets sitting at the top of the four bottom queues are White, Light Pink, Yellow, and Orange.

Now, look at the bottom row of the Top Tray. You have four textured clusters ready to drop: Yellow, Light Blue, Dark Green, and Light Pink.

Notice the trap? You have a bottom Box ready for Yellow. You have a bottom Box ready for Light Pink. You do not have bottom Boxes ready for Light Blue or Dark Green. Those two middle clusters in the bottom row are pure bait. If you drop them, they will sit on the Conveyor Belt and eat up your vital breathing room.

The board is highly structured around a front-to-back reveal. Two dark Panels marked with a '3' guard the upper sections. This means you must clear exactly three bottom Boxes before those upper marbles become playable.

Your primary goal is to score three fast clears to shatter the top Panels without putting any dead weight on the Conveyor Belt. Follow this sequence exactly to break the early jam.

The first few taps dictate whether you win or lose this level. Ignore the center of the board completely.

1. Tap the bottom-left Yellow cluster. This drops straight into the active Yellow bottom Box waiting in the middle-right queue, clearing it instantly.
2. Tap the bottom-right Light Pink cluster. This drops into the active Light Pink bottom Box waiting in the middle-left queue, clearing it instantly.
3. Grab the newly exposed Orange and White clusters. Clearing the first two clusters revealed an Orange cluster on the left and a White cluster on the right. Drop them immediately.
4. Clear the outer queues. The White cluster fills the far-left White bottom Box. The Orange cluster fills the far-right Orange bottom Box.

2. Hunt the Brown keys. Your next major roadblock is the Lock and Key system. Look for the Brown clusters in the newly revealed upper section. Prioritize routing marbles to expose and drop these Brown clusters.
3. Unlock the inner board. Once the Brown clusters drop into matching bottom Boxes (which will eventually cycle up), the golden keys will turn. This removes the locks from the Light Green and Light Pink clusters in the middle rows.
4. Pop the Surprise Bags safely. You now have four Surprise Bags lingering on the outer edges. Never open more than one at a time. Tap one bag, reveal the color, and immediately route it to its matching bottom Box.
5. Clear the double Reds. Your middle queues are heavily stacked with Red bottom Boxes at this stage. Use the upper-mid section of the Top Tray to feed Red clusters down. Keep your Conveyor Belt completely clear as you process the final Surprise Bags.
