Marble Sort Level 265 Guide: The Giant Chain and Key Trap

Marble Sort Level 265 is a completely split board that plays tricks with your available space. You are staring down a massive iron chain dividing the screen, and the only way to break it is to hunt down a golden key buried at the very top of the grid.

You need a lot of Yellow and Green marbles early, but the game hides them behind a wall of random colors. The left side of the Top Tray is entirely blocked by a Panel and features a nasty stack of Connected Boxes. The right side is a dense 4x6 grid of loose marbles. The bottom Boxes demand Yellow and Green right out of the gate, but grabbing the wrong colors to reach them will instantly clog your Conveyor Belt.

This board tests your patience. One greedy tap on the wrong column will end your run.

This layout is incredibly specific and designed to force you into a corner.

The left side of the Top Tray is a frozen trap. It features a Panel with a '3' on it. This means three bottom Boxes must be completely cleared before the top of that column even reveals itself. Directly beneath that panel sits a terrible stack of Connected Boxes. You will see red tied to orange, brown tied to blue, and white tied to light pink. Because they are connected, tapping one drops both. You cannot play the left side at all during the opening phase.

The right side of the Top Tray is where your entire opening game happens. It is a massive block of colors. Your eyes need to immediately dart to the top right corner. Sitting inside a light blue box is the golden key. This is a Lock and Key setup. Clearing that specific light blue box breaks the giant chain dominating the middle of the screen.

Your starting bottom Boxes are Yellow, Green, Green, and Yellow.

Here is the vicious trap. Look at the bottom row of the right-side grid. You have a pink box, a light blue box, and an orange box. You do not have bottom Boxes for these colors yet. To reach the Green and Yellow marbles stacked above them, you have to drop this junk onto your Conveyor Belt. This is terrifying because your belt space is strictly limited. The bait here is dropping too many random colors from the right side trying to uncover the Yellows and Greens.

However, the game throws you a lifeline. Once you clear that first row of Yellow and Green bottom Boxes, the very next row of bottom Boxes asks for Pink, Orange, and Light Blue. The exact colors you were forced to store on the belt!

You have to manage your belt space with laser precision. Do not touch the left side. Focus entirely on excavating the right side to reach the key.

Surviving the opening dig in Marble Sort Level 265

The opening is all about controlled drops. You must unearth the Yellow and Green marbles without overflowing your belt.

1. Dump the bottom row carefully: Tap the pink, light blue, and orange boxes at the absolute bottom of the right Top Tray. Let them sit on the Conveyor Belt. Do not tap any other colors that do not match Yellow or Green.
2. Clear the first wave: With the bottom junk moved out of the way, tap the exposed Green and Yellow boxes. Fill the four starting bottom Boxes (Yellow, Green, Green, Yellow) and clear them out.
3. Unlock the Panel: Clearing those first three bottom Boxes immediately satisfies the '3' Panel on the left side, removing it and exposing a yellow box. Leave it alone for now.
4. Flush the belt: Clearing the first line of bottom Boxes reveals the second row: Pink, Orange, Light Blue, and Red. Instantly flush the pink, light blue, and orange marbles you stored on your Conveyor Belt into these new Boxes.
5. Hunt the Key: Now that your belt is empty again, push hard up the right columns. Dig straight up through the purple, blue, and red marbles to reach the top right corner.

Breaking the chain completely changes the flow of the level. The right side will look mostly empty, but your Conveyor Belt is probably holding a messy line of leftover light blue, red, orange, or brown marbles from your excavation.

Now you have to deal with the left side of the Top Tray.

The bottom Boxes will cycle again. You will likely see Purple, Pink, White, and Brown pop up. This is where the board gets highly lethal.

1. Assess the connected pairs: Look at the left side. You have Connected Boxes tied together (red/orange, brown/blue, white/pink). If you tap one, two boxes drop at once.
2. Wait for a match: Do not drop a connected pair unless you have an open bottom Box for at least one of those two colors. If you drop the white/pink connected pair while your belt is half-full and you don't have a white or pink bottom Box ready, you will jam the belt and lose.
3. Clear the backlog: Focus on matching the leftover marbles currently clogging your Conveyor Belt. Prioritize dropping colors from the remaining loose boxes on the right side to clear out the Purple and Brown bottom Boxes.
4. Drop the pairs safely: Once your belt has at least four open slots, tap the white/pink Connected Boxes. Funnel the pink into the open bottom Box, freeing up space immediately.
5. Untangle the left side: Repeat this process for the brown/blue and red/orange pairs. Always ensure one half of the pair has an immediate home to go to before you pull them down.
