Marble Sort Level 90 Guide: The Numbered Tunnel Trap and Mystery Box Jam

You load up Marble Sort Level 90 and instantly see the problem. The board is designed to starve you of options while baiting you into a massive jam. The dominant colors here are jarring. You have massive blocks of yellow, light blue, bright green, and purple sitting right at the front edge of the Top Tray. They look like easy clears. They are not.

The real dictator of this level is the row of five numbered Tunnels sitting just behind those front blocks. Every single one of them is stamped with a '3'. You cannot access the back half of the board until you clear enough bottom Boxes to count those Tunnels down to zero.

To make matters worse, the bottom area is laced with Mystery Box traps. You only get four columns to work with. The visible starting Boxes are red, yellow, red, and teal. But right beneath them? A brutal mix of hidden colors and awkward requirements. If you pull the wrong marbles down to the Conveyor Belt trying to guess what is inside a Mystery Box, you will clog your limited space and fail the run.

The Squeeze Play Pattern in Marble Sort Level 90

Let’s break down exactly how this board is arranged so you know what is coming. The layout in Marble Sort 90 is a classic squeeze play. The game gives you obvious marbles at the top, but heavily restricts where you can put them at the bottom.

Look at the Top Tray. The absolute front row consists of huge 9-marble square blocks. Left to right, you have yellow, teal, bright green, and purple. Tucked directly behind those massive squares are isolated, single marbles. You can spot two reds on the far left, a single white in the middle, and another single red on the right.

Then you hit the wall. Five blue Tunnels, all requiring three box clears to open. They hold back an ocean of marbles.

Now look at your bottom Boxes. This is where the trap snaps shut. You have four narrow columns. The first column starts with a Red Box, immediately followed by a grey Mystery Box. The second column starts with a Yellow Box, sitting on top of a Pink Box, then a Light Green Box. The third column starts with another Red Box, sitting over a White Box. The fourth column starts with a Teal Box, covering a Purple Box.

The bait here is the color red. You have two Red Boxes available on the bottom right away. You might think you should clear both of them immediately. Do not do it. You only have three accessible red marbles in the Top Tray before you hit the Tunnels. If you try to force both Red Boxes, you will end up with stranded red marbles on your Conveyor Belt and no way to finish the sequence. The middle of the board is where the jam risk is highest. You have to play the specific guaranteed clears first to force the Tunnels open.

Marble Sort Level 90 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Follow this exact order to safely break open the board. Space on your Conveyor Belt is your most valuable resource. Do not pull anything unless you have a guaranteed destination for it.

The Opening Box Clear in Marble Sort Level 90

Your primary goal right now is dropping those '3' timers on the Tunnels. To do that, we need fast, safe clears that do not leave orphaned marbles sitting on the belt.

  1. Start with the safest move on the board. Tap the giant block of yellow marbles at the front left of the Top Tray. Route them directly into the top Yellow Box in the second column. This is a guaranteed 3-marble clear.
  2. Watch the Tunnels drop from 3 to 2. You now have a Pink Box exposed in the second column.
  3. Now deal with the red bait. You have two Red Boxes available (columns 1 and 3). Look at the Top Tray. Grab the two exposed red marbles on the left and the single red marble on the right.
  4. Send all three of those red marbles into just ONE of the Red Boxes. It does not matter which one, but finish the clear. Boom. Second clear down. The Tunnels now drop to 1.
  5. You just exposed either a Mystery Box (if you chose column 1) or a White Box (if you chose column 3). Leave the Mystery Box alone for a second.
  6. Look back at the Top Tray. Dig into the marbles just behind the front yellow block to extract the pink marbles you need. Send them down to clear the Pink Box in the second column.
  7. That is your third clear. The first set of Tunnels will now hit 0 and blow wide open.

Managing the Tunnel Rush in Marble Sort Level 90

This is where the run usually dies. When those Tunnels hit zero, they do not just sit there. They immediately spit out a massive wave of previously hidden marbles. Suddenly, your board is flooded with dark blue, orange, and dark green marbles rolling down toward the front.

The Conveyor Belt pressure spikes instantly here. If you have dead marbles sitting on the line from a sloppy early move, this wave will push you over the edge.

  1. Catch the overflow immediately. The moment the Tunnels open, dark blue marbles will pour out. You need a home for them. Check your newly revealed bottom rows.
  2. Clear the Teal Box in the fourth column using the giant teal block from the Top Tray. This exposes the Purple Box underneath it.
  3. Clear the Purple Box using the giant purple block from the front right of the Top Tray.
  4. You are rapidly counting down the remaining Tunnels. As more boxes clear, the middle and outer Tunnels will hit zero, dumping even more dark blue and orange marbles onto the board.
  5. Stop and process the Mystery Boxes. You have several grey boxes fully exposed now. Clear the box sitting on top of them, and watch the reveal.
  6. If a Mystery Box reveals itself as Orange or Dark Blue, immediately feed it the marbles pouring out of the newly opened Tunnels. This keeps the Conveyor Belt clean and prevents a fatal jam.

Clearing the Final Mystery Boxes in Marble Sort Level 90

The endgame is pure belt management. The heavy lifting is done, but the hidden layers at the very bottom of the columns can still trip you up.

  1. Keep your Conveyor Belt to a strict three-marble maximum. If you have four or five random marbles sitting there while waiting for a Mystery Box to reveal its color, you are playing with fire.
  2. Drain the final green and white marbles from the deep center of the Top Tray. Route them into the third column.
  3. As the last column bottoms out, the final remaining Tunnel will trigger. Leave exactly enough room on the belt to catch its last dump of marbles. Match the remaining stragglers to clear the board. Stay disciplined on your belt space, don't guess the grey boxes, and you will beat this trap easily.
