Marble Sort Level 217 Guide: The 30-Clear Panel and Connected Chain Trap

This board is a massive test of patience. You load into Marble Sort Level 217 and immediately get slapped in the face with a giant metal block.

A massive Panel sits dead center in the upper area, taking up a huge chunk of real estate. It demands 30 bottom clears before it opens up. Thirty. That means you have to play the vast majority of this puzzle working strictly out of the tight margins on the left, right, and bottom edges of the Top Tray. You are severely restricted on what you can actually reach. Combine that with a board completely infested with hidden ties, and your Conveyor Belt is in constant danger of locking up.

The Restricted Margins in Marble Sort Level 217

Look at the shape of the starting Top Tray. The central Panel covers almost everything. To its left, you have two narrow columns stacked with Mystery Boxes, pinks, greens, and yellows. To its right, another two tight columns with more Mystery Boxes, reds, and pinks. Directly under the Panel sits a precarious single column of completely hidden Mystery Boxes.

But the real nightmare in Marble Sort 217 isn't just the giant blocker. It is the sheer volume of Connected Boxes locking down the outer edges.

Scan the links on those outer columns. On the left side, yellow is tied to brown. Below that, light blue is tied to green. Below that, dark blue is tied to purple. The bottom left corner has green tied to yellow.

The right side is just as heavily chained. Orange is tied to black. Purple is tied to orange. Pink is tied to pink. You literally cannot drop a single isolated color from these edges. You pull one, its partner drops with it. This creates a massive hazard. If you need a yellow marble but pull the yellow/brown pair when there is no brown bottom Box waiting, you just wasted vital belt space.

Your starting bottom Boxes are yellow, black, green, and purple. The row behind them is purple, green, black, and purple. The placement of these lower targets dictates your entire opening strategy. You have to feed these specific colors without accidentally clogging the Conveyor Belt with the connected baggage that drops alongside them.

Marble Sort Level 217 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

You are playing a long game of attrition here. You need to hit that 30-clear quota on the Panel without bricking your belt.

Surviving the Opening Squeeze in Marble Sort Level 217

Your immediate priority is clearing that front line of yellow, black, green, and purple bottom Boxes. You have very little room for error.

  1. Snipe the easy greens and yellows. The bottom-left of the Top Tray features a connected green and yellow pair. Drop them immediately. Both colors are currently active in your front row of bottom Boxes, meaning neither will get stuck on the Conveyor Belt.
  2. Pull the purple and orange chain. You need purple for the front right bottom Box. The bottom right of the Top Tray has a purple tied to orange. Drop them. The purple will immediately sort. The orange will sit on your belt. This is the cost of doing business on this board. Leave the orange alone for now.
  3. Feed the black box. Your front row needs black marbles. Look to the lower right side above the orange you just pulled. There is an orange tied to a black. Pull it. The black will clear its respective bottom Box, but now you have another orange sitting on the belt.
  4. Hold off on the Mystery Boxes. Do not touch that center column of Mystery Boxes right under the panel yet. Your belt already has dead orange weight on it. If you blindly drop a mystery piece and it doesn't match a currently active bottom Box, you will run out of space instantly.

Navigating the Connected Chaos in Marble Sort Level 217

Once the first line of bottom Boxes clears, the second line pushes forward: purple, green, black, and purple. The quota on the giant Panel is slowly ticking down. Now the game forces you deeper into the linked columns.

  1. Clear the dark blue and purple tie. On the left side, pull the dark blue linked with purple. The purple will feed the active bottom Box. The dark blue will sit on the belt until the third row of bottom targets (which contains dark blue) pushes forward.
  2. Use the center Mystery Boxes defensively. Only tap the gray Mystery Boxes in the middle column when your Conveyor Belt has at least four open slots. You need to keep grinding down the 30-clear requirement, and you have to clear these middle pieces to do it. Treat every mystery drop like a potential hazard.
  3. Watch the light blue/green trap. As you dig down the left side, you will hit a light blue tied to green. Only pull this when you have a green bottom Box active. Light blue does not show up in the lower targets until much later in the round. If you drop it too early, it will rot on your belt and ruin your run.
  4. Keep cycling the purples and greens. The mid-game bottom Boxes are heavy on purple, green, and yellow. Keep matching these from the outer visible columns. Ignore the colors you can't use.

Cracking the 30-Panel in Marble Sort Level 217

Eventually, you will hit the 30th clear. The massive central Panel finally vanishes.

When it lifts, the late-game board is exposed. You will uncover a fresh batch of white marbles, more hidden Mystery Boxes, and a mix of dark blue, black, and connected pinks.

  1. Shift focus to the new targets. Your bottom Boxes will drastically change here. The new active row features green, light blue, dark blue, and pink.
  2. Flush the belt. If you have been carrying light blues or dark blues on your Conveyor Belt from earlier connected pulls, they will finally sort into these new bottom targets. Let the belt clear out before making your next move.
  3. Process the pinks. The right side of the newly revealed area has a connected pink pair. Drop it directly into the new pink bottom Box.
  4. Finish the white and light blue. The very back rows of the lower targets are packed with light blue, orange, and white. Carefully tap the remaining top marbles to match. With the massive Panel gone and the belt finally breathing, the rest of the board is a straightforward cleanup.
