Marble Sort Level 260 Guide: The Bait Row and Central Panel Trap

Marble Sort Level 260 is a masterclass in visual deception. You load in, look at the front row, and immediately want to start tapping colors just because they are completely exposed. Do not fall for it. The board is designed to make you clog your own Conveyor Belt within the first ten seconds.

The dominant starting colors you actually need are White, Dark Red, Orange, and Dark Green. But the game throws a bunch of immediate garbage in your way. The Top Tray is built around severe vertical columns locked down by overlapping yellow Lock and Key mechanisms. Right in the dead center of it all, a massive Panel marked with a "3" blocks your deep vertical progress. You have to play with surgical precision to unlock this board.

The Bait Row and Central Panel Trap in Marble Sort Level 260

Look closely at the very bottom row of your Top Tray. From left to right, you have Dark Green, Light Green, Orange, Dark Red, Light Yellow, and Purple. They are fully exposed and ready to drop.

Now look down at your active starting bottom Boxes. The top row only wants White, Dark Red, Orange, and Dark Green.

This is the biggest trap in Marble Sort 260. That front-row Light Green? Bait. The front-row Yellow? Bait. That easily accessible Purple on the far right? Pure bait. If you drop those onto the Conveyor Belt right now, they will just ride around the looped track taking up critical space. Their matching bottom Boxes are buried deep in the lower queues. You will run out of room and fail the level before you even open the middle.

The core identity of this board revolves around digging through the correct colors to trigger that central Panel. The Panel demands three bottom Boxes be cleared before it vanishes. To get those three clears, you have to extract the exact right marbles from the side columns without accidentally pulling the locked colors.

The side columns are heavily gated by yellow Lock and Key bars. You can't just spam the edges. Meanwhile, the very top of the board is completely obscured by Hidden Boxes (the grey question mark blocks) and heavily cracked Iced Boxes. As the level progresses and that middle Panel finally opens, you will also uncover Surprise Bags hidden in the upper back rows. Every single move has to serve the goal of clearing the front four bottom Boxes first.

Marble Sort Level 260 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Your priority is strict Conveyor Belt management. Because the track here loops around, floating marbles will constantly cycle back and block your drops if you over-pull. Keep it clean. Keep it focused.

Dodging the Front-Row Bait in Marble Sort Level 260

The opening moves are entirely about restraint. You must clear the starting top row of bottom Boxes to satisfy the "3" requirement on that central Panel.

  1. Target the front Dark Green marble on the bottom left of the Top Tray. Drop it to start filling the Dark Green Box on the far right.
  2. Pull the front Orange marble and the front Dark Red marble. They sit right next to each other in the bottom middle-left.
  3. Completely ignore the Light Green, Light Yellow, and Purple marbles on that bottom row. Leave them exactly where they are.
  4. Dig into the center-left and center-right columns to extract the matching Orange and Dark Red marbles.
  5. Extract the White marbles sitting in the lower-middle section, right below the central Panel. Fill that White Box.
  6. Clear any three of the initial bottom Boxes (White, Dark Red, Orange, or Dark Green). This is your sole objective right now.

Cracking the Panels and Surprise Bags in Marble Sort Level 260

Once you clear those three Boxes, the massive central Panel marked "3" flies off the board. The entire layout shifts. The middle column opens up, revealing a fresh stack of Light Blue and Pink marbles, and exposes a secondary Panel marked with a "1".

  1. Look at your new active bottom Boxes. You should now have Light Blue, Pink, and Light Green Boxes moving up to the front.
  2. Now you can finally drop that front-row Light Green bait marble you left behind earlier. Send it down to clear the Light Green Box.
  3. Attack the newly opened center column. Pull the Light Blue and Pink marbles to clear their respective Boxes.
  4. Clearing one more Box will destroy the secondary "1" Panel. Do this immediately.
  5. Watch the top center. The removal of the Panels reveals grey Surprise Bags tied with rope. Do not open these yet if your Conveyor Belt is crowded. Wait until you have at least four empty slots on the track.
  6. Begin breaking the yellow Lock and Key mechanisms by clearing the specific marbles they point to. This will release the dense side columns holding more Yellow, Blue, and Purple marbles.

Surviving the Final Iced Box Phase in Marble Sort Level 260

The late game shifts focus to the very top corners of the Top Tray. This is where the board gets extremely tight.

  1. Focus on the upper left and upper right corners. You have heavily clustered Iced Boxes here covering orange, white, and purple marbles.
  2. Drop colors from the freed side columns to match with the visible iced colors. Every match cracks the ice further.
  3. Tap the Surprise Bags in the top center only when you have matching bottom Boxes ready. They will spit out random colors, so you need the track space to absorb them.
  4. Clear the remaining grey Hidden Boxes at the top edge by pulling the colors immediately beneath them.
  5. Flush the remaining Light Blue and Purple Boxes at the bottom to finish the board. Keep your belt moving and never pull a color unless its matching Box is actively sitting in the front row.
