Marble Sort Level 147 Guide: The Mystery Box Wall and Key Trap

This board is brutal if you do not respect the opening bait. In Marble Sort Level 147, you are facing a massive wall of gray Mystery Boxes choking out the upper half of the board. Below that wall sits a critical row of Lock and Key items that dictate the entire flow of the midgame. You cannot just match colors and hope for the best here.

The dominant colors on the board are Dark Blue, Mint Green, Orange, and Pink. Your Top Tray is heavily layered. The very front row gives you immediate access to a few dimpled colored blocks, but a Panel dead center is holding back the middle of the board until you hit four clears. Meanwhile, your bottom receivers are hiding locks at the very bottom of their stacks. You have to crack the front lines, grab those keys, and drop the Panel before your limited space runs out.

The unique board bottleneck in Marble Sort Level 147

Read the board before you tap anything. The exact arrangement of colors in the Top Tray is designed to trick you into ruining your run in the first five seconds.

Look at your front line. On the bottom left of the Top Tray, you have a dimpled Orange Box and a dimpled Pink Box. In the center, you have two dimpled Dark Blue blocks. On the far right, a dimpled Mint Green block.

Now look at your active bottom Boxes. The four receivers waiting on the frontline are Brown, Dark Blue, and two Mint Greens.

Do you see the trap? The Orange and Pink Boxes sitting right in front of your face are complete bait. If you release them, they will drop straight onto the Conveyor Belt and sit there. There are no active receivers for them. You will instantly burn up massive amounts of belt space, which leads to a fatal jam when the board gets crowded later.

The mid-layer of the Top Tray is where the real puzzle sits. Right behind your front line are solid colors: Red, Yellow, Orange, Brown, and Mint Green. Above those sits a desperate row of keys. The left wing holds Light Blue, Light Green, and Orange keys. The right wing holds Purple, Dark Green, and Red keys.

Dead center sits a Panel demanding four clears before it vanishes. You have to clear the right colors to feed the exact bottom Boxes asking for them, all while avoiding the dead-end colors on the left side.

Marble Sort Level 147 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

You need perfect discipline to open this level. We are going to ignore the left side completely, work the center and right, and force the Panel open.

Beating the opening bait in Marble Sort Level 147

Do not touch Orange. Do not touch Pink. You need to create space and drop the counter on that center shield.

  1. Tap the two dimpled Dark Blue Boxes in the center of the Top Tray. They will drop and immediately feed the active Dark Blue receiver in the second column.
  2. Tap the dimpled Mint Green Box on the far right. This feeds one of your two active Mint Green receivers.
  3. Look at what you just exposed. You now have a clear path to a solid Brown Box in the second layer. Tap it. It will drop and fill the top-left Brown receiver.
  4. You now have a solid Mint Green block exposed on the middle right. Release it to feed your second Mint Green receiver.
  5. You have just cleared several bottom Boxes without clogging your Conveyor Belt. The Panel in the center will trigger and vanish, exposing a white block behind it.

Triggering the lock and key sequence in Marble Sort Level 147

Now the midgame starts. You have cracked the front lines. The bottom Boxes will cycle up, revealing new colors and eventually dragging up the locked blocks. You must collect the keys from the Top Tray before those locked blocks jam the bottom.

  1. Prioritize clearing the solid Red, Yellow, and Orange blocks that sit directly beneath the keys in the Top Tray.
  2. Check your newly surfaced bottom Boxes. You should see Yellow, Light Green, and White receivers pushing up.
  3. Route the exposed White block from the center (where the Panel used to be) into a White bottom Box.
  4. As soon as a color underneath a key matches an active bottom Box, send it. Grabbing the Light Green key on the left and the Dark Green key on the right is usually your first major priority.
  5. Once a key drops into the Conveyor Belt, it unlocks its matching bottom Box. Keep cycling colors aggressively to dig the remaining keys out.

Surviving the Mystery Box reveal in Marble Sort Level 147

Once you clear the key row, the massive wall of gray Mystery Boxes will start dropping down and flipping their colors. This is where you panic and lose if you are not careful.

  1. Do not speed-tap. When a Mystery Box drops and reveals its color, pause. Look at your bottom Boxes to ensure you actually have a receiver for it.
  2. Always keep at least three empty slots on your Conveyor Belt. The game will frequently reveal a color that you cannot use yet. Let it sit on the belt, but do not drop another useless color on top of it.
  3. Focus on clearing one specific column of bottom Boxes at a time. Clearing out an entire column removes locked blocks faster and cycles in fresh receivers to catch the random colors spilling out of the Mystery Box wall.
  4. Clear the straggling Pink and Orange blocks from the very beginning only when their specific receivers finally cycle up to the front row. Clean up the remaining revealed colors to finish the board.
