Marble Sort Level 318 Guide: The Iced Box Flanks and Crate Trap
This board is a masterclass in baiting you into a quick loss. The layout immediately tempts you to tap everything in the center. Do not do it. Marble Sort Level 318 locks down both sides of the board with frozen obstacles and hides a massive chunk of marbles behind two wooden traps at the top.
Your dominant colors here are Green, Pink, Purple, and Blue, but the order in which you access them dictates everything. If you rush the center without a plan, your Conveyor Belt will jam before you even reach the back half of the puzzle. You have to play this board from the inside out, carefully managing the limited space you have.
The Frozen Flank Pattern in Marble Sort Level 318
Look closely at how this specific board is built. It is designed to choke your Conveyor Belt capacity on the very first few moves.
The Top Tray is split into a playable center column and completely dead side zones. The front playable row gives you Purple, Dark Blue, Green, Yellow, and Light Pink squares. This looks like a great starting spread. It is actually a trap.
Flanking that center group are two massive walls of Iced Boxes. On the left side, you have four frozen blocks holding Orange, Green, Purple, and Green marbles. On the right side, you have four more Iced Boxes trapping Light Pink, Blue, Blue, and Pink marbles. You cannot touch any of these until you clear the standard squares directly adjacent to them.
At the very top of the board, two wooden Crates sit in the left and right corners. These will not open until you clear three neighboring squares. Nestled right between those crates is a blue Tunnel with a number 3 on it.
Now look at the bottom Boxes. Your starting targets are very specific: a Green Box on the far left, a Light Pink Box, another Green Box, and a Purple Box on the far right.
The disconnect between the bottom Boxes and the Top Tray is what ruins most runs on Marble Sort 318. You have a Yellow square and a Dark Blue square sitting perfectly accessible in the front row. Neither of those colors exists in your bottom starting targets. If you tap them, they will sit on the Conveyor Belt and steal your breathing room.
Marble Sort Level 318 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
You have to surgically pick apart the center to unlock the flanks. If you lose control of the belt here, the frozen blocks will never thaw.
Breaking the Front Row in Marble Sort Level 318
The opening moves require strict discipline. You must only take what the bottom targets demand.
- Target the far-left Green Box and the far-right Purple Box at the bottom. Tap the Green and Purple squares from the very front row of the Top Tray.
- Tap the Light Pink square on the right side of the center cluster to start filling the second bottom Box.
- Leave the Yellow and Dark Blue squares alone. They are pure bait. Touching them now burns two crucial slots on your Conveyor Belt.
- Look at the new squares revealed behind your first clears. You need one more Green match to clear the second Green bottom Box. Dig directly behind the gap where the first Green square used to be.
- Once you clear that second Green target, the bottom row shifts. This is when the board finally opens up.
Thawing the Board in Marble Sort Level 318
Clearing the initial front-line Boxes completely changes the required flow. New targets will slide up from the bottom, usually revealing Yellow, Blue, or dark Pink. Now the real puzzle begins.
- Once a Yellow or Blue Box appears at the bottom, immediately drop the Yellow and Dark Blue squares you left behind in the front row. Getting them out of the center clears a massive amount of space.
- Focus your taps on the outer edges of the center cluster. Every time you clear a square touching the frozen flanks, you crack the ice.
- Prioritize unlocking the left side Iced Boxes first. That side contains a vital Green and Purple block that you will absolutely need to clear the mid-game bottom targets.
- Do not drill straight up the middle toward the Tunnel. If you ignore the Iced Boxes and dig vertically, you will activate the Tunnel too early. It will dump extra marbles onto the belt while your sides are still completely frozen.
- As the right-side Iced Boxes thaw, grab the Light Pink and Blue marbles immediately. The bottom Boxes will heavily demand these colors during the second wave.
Opening the Crates and Tunnel in Marble Sort Level 318
The late game is all about managing the sudden burst of hidden marbles at the top.
- Once the Iced Boxes are mostly cleared, start working on the squares touching the top corner Crates.
- Pay attention to the required adjacent clears. You need to drop three nearby blocks to break a crate. Do not break a crate unless you have at least three open slots on your Conveyor Belt.
- When the Crates finally shatter, they will expose the final missing colors needed to finish the deep bottom Boxes.
- Tap the squares beneath the top middle Tunnel last. Let the tunnel dispense its payload only when the rest of the board is flat and manageable.
- Sweep up the remaining solid color clusters. Keep matching front-to-back, and the level will clear without a jam.
